A big Thank You to Wavy Boats, your camera and drone operators. Word is FWC has paid the owners a visit, and they are working to identify all that were on board. For those making statements, minors can operate boats on Florida waters if they have taken a state boating safety course. That being said, they broke so many laws here including a No Wake zone upon entering the intercoastal. This is already on the news. Looking forward to updates, and the education with this. Boca Bash is one big party. Lots of trash. Human and otherwise.

Under federal law, it is illegal to toss any garbage from a boat while you are anywhere in lakes, rivers, bays, sounds, and offshore in the ocean less than 3 miles. The penalty for violating this law may result in civil penalties up to $25,000, a fine of up to $50,000 and/or a prison sentence of up to 5 years. Additionally, not one person on this vessel is likely to pass a sobriety test or breathalyzer test.

Law enforcement agencies couldn't care less about ANY violations seen here. Such things are commonplace in ALL of these vids and others like em. The only justice that we can hope for out of this vid is that a parent recognizes the boat and calls these wastes of good air out on it. I can say that law enforcement on our inland waterways is very much different than what you see here. I've fished and hunted in almost every state east of the Mississippi River and I've come in contact with law enforcement numerous times. The majority of those experiences was nothing more than a safety and licensing check to make sure we had the proper rescue gear and documentation. Unlike their brethren who patrol our streets and roads, all were very courteous and respectful. I tip my cap to those who have the incredibly huge task of patrolling our woods and waters, often with little or no support. On the flip side, if they see or catch any transgressions, they will HAMMER your a**. And a lot of times, deservedly so. I just wish that these human gene pool contaminates would have been seen doing this here in my home state of West Virginia. The situation would be wholly different. Other civilians who are outdoors to enjoy our woods and waters have no qualms at all about involving themselves in such situations...regardless of who it is in the wrong.

@@drevilllc~ Precisely why a fine is not going to have any effect. Jail time and inmate labor detail is the only thing that will get through to brats like this.

As an x coastie the first thing you should do. Turn the video over to the local Coast guard or the local Coast Guard district headquarters in Miami. Then turn the video over to the local TV station someone will recognize the boat. Once the CG has the vessel and owners location they will send a team and do a boarding. The vessel could be confiscated, the owner will be fined, as will whomever was the "captain" . It could cost them tens of thousands for such a blatant act, or they may never get the boat back. Then you will also receive a "whistleblower" part of that fine. A cruise ship was caught on video dumping bags of trash late at night by a passenger, it cost them several millions and the videographer I believe was rewarded with that incident was 100k. So get it to the CG.

Even if a corrupt bureaucrat were inclined to "help" them out, at this point there's not much they can do. Also, it appears that the kids have had to delete or make private their social media accounts, which just might be more punishment in their minds than even the government can dole out.

In a statement, Boca Bash said they’ve identified the group on the boat that dumped the garbage into the ocean and called the actions on the video “egregious” and “completely unacceptable.” They added that “it is unresponsible boaters like this that have zero care for our oceans that give this event a bad reputation.”

I just read that the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission have positively ID'd several of the people on the boat. Apparently they're working with State attorneys to come up with appropriate charges. I really, really hope it's more than just a fine their rich parents will pay.

This will inconvenience them about as much as you running out of gas and coasting in five feet from the gas pump. Clearly you can see how privileged those kids think they are. In the state of FL it's not required on the side of the boat over a certain length(think it's 30 feet). But the registration does have to appear somewhere on the boat. That boat probably frequents that inlet , some local will recognize it.

Again, a boat over a certain length doesn't have to show their numbers on the side of the boat but need to place them somewhere on the vessel in FL. A lot of people including my father place his on the center console.

Most of the defendants appeared for court hearings Monday morning, April 29, at the Palm Beach County Jail annex and were later released on their own recognizance, court records show.

USCG Doc. No.1289666. Since the boat is Coast Guard Documented, Fl numbers not needed but it must be registered in Florida also so the State at that time will get the sales tax.

But when I'm fishing on an empty river at 1am up in a side cut minding my own business FWC stops me for a "safety check". 😂

Don't make it a generational thing. It was Boomers that trashed it worst, and refuse to change. It's Boomers that invented participation trophies no one asked for. Anyway, those kids are the latchkey kids of parents that throw their Elder Care Home executive wealth at them as a replacement for a real upbringing with accountability. It’s crazy to see how young people play with their lives. I grew up on the beach and spent a lot of time in the ocean growing up. We never played around like this in the ocean. When the waves are this bad you stay in. Bad things happen if you hit those large rocks.

Very unfortunate, they should be held liable, fined and I agree, beach cleanup for a year. So many young people want to protest, how about trying to improve our environment.

Me too. I have seen that boat before on IWC. Probably best for them to sell that boat get a different brand color and name. Can never go anywhere in that boat ever again without getting hazed

It looks like totally disrespectful behavior, from some spoiled brats! They all should be fined, and made to do community clean up service of streets, beaches and waterways around that area, for at least a year, or longer!

Nothing like a video to prove guilt ! They should all have to do beach clean up for hours every weekend ! I can never understand that there is no law to enforce wearing of life jackets in and out of the mouth - especially for kids .
