Absolutely nothing but respect for Kevin and sympathy for the loss of his brothers.
This man is a LIVING LEGEND AND HERO 💪🏾
Most men would crumble after going through what Kevin has . The saddest quote “i used to be a brother of 5 now I can’t even call myself a brother “
I grew up in Texas the Von Erichs Super Stars ! Nothing like them before or After! Thanks Kevin ❤ your family ❤
Am so glad my friend Kevin is telling how wonderful jack was as father. Jack was a wonderful father. Let me tell you the boys were wonderful boys. They had amazing parents. Remember when Mike passed all the people come up telling us , how Mike had been helping people out with money to so they could pay bills. The boys loved there parents very much. Kevin and Pam have done amazing job raising their children and grandchildren. I am very thankful for the wonderful memories of Chris and all of them. The VonErichs will live forever. God bless Texas
I want to hug this guy! So much wisdom!!! I had a half sister who died from kidney failure. Same dad, different mom. I had my kidney transplant at 3. I was the youngest, but she died when I was 10. She was 26. My uncle killed himself by suicide. Bullet to head. In 2021, my dad then kills himself. Exactly the same way my uncle did. I’m on my 6th year of my second kidney that I got in 2018. Striving, healing and admire the discipline that this world has lost today. After seeing the movie and hearing Kevin speak. I can tell his dad was in no way like the movie. He’s like my uncles on my mom’s side. Filipino heavy core discipline. Respectful manners and you get the spanking and strict talks. I see it in Kevin. I see how these brothers all loved but the drugs and in my case, my dad fell after being a tough guy and not wanting help because he could not deal with his grief. He had a hard time seeing me in hospitals because it reminded him of my sister. Now, I truly feel like the scene when my dad killed himself, he is walking with my uncle Mike and my sister and my grandparents. Heart wrenching to the guts. But like Kevin, and anyone who has lived through tragedy, we heal and find our ways either by writing and figuring out how happiness and healing plays a part through pain. That there’s always a life ahead and heck…. I’m breathing today and so grateful I got to spend so many memories with my dad and have a few with my sister and my uncle Mike who I was told loved me and spoiled me.
What a great interview. I would like to read a book by Kevin. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for this interview with Kevin. I have followed the Von Erich's wrestling dynasty since the early 80's. I hope Kevin completes his book because it will set the record straight. I am looking forward to buying and reading it. God bless you Kevin.
No one should have to rehash this stuff for our entertainment, leave Kevin alone man, he’s had enough. Let him live out his days in peace.
A very good conversation Gentlemen. Deep and Honest.
you tell it Kevin ' I'm so sick of people talk about Kevin and his family. I would love to read his book.

Kevin. Von Erich was my favorite of the brothers, saw him many times as a kid in Texas. Thanks for for the good times watching you Kevin!! I admired your work ethic even as a 10 year old! I love your Christian character!
I'll take Kevin's word for it . He's been through enough

I'll be in line waiting for Kevin's book to get released! I grew up at the Sportatorium when they were bringing that place down! If you weren't there, you can't get a true appreciation of what that family did!
Same here..Saw Kevin and Kerry perform in person 😊
Wow, Kevin and Dan talking about stuff, thanks for posting.
Great interview.
I grew up watching the Von Erich's. It's tragic what happened with various members of the family, but I always respected Kevin a lot, and I admire his courage to keep moving forward and stay strong. He is a true Texas legend.
I am so glad Keven cleared things up about the movie and his dad. Another things they left out a brother not to mention I don’t believe there was jealousy between them. I also know from some of Kevin’s interviews that things weren’t true. I wish that when people make movies that are like documentaries they would do their research
Watched the VE’s on espn as a kid. That Texas Wrestling show was 🔥.
Their life would make a great TV series. I would like for them to focus on alot of the great times they had. Also being a family of 5 brothers they have to have some really funny stories as well.
I feel so sad for the von Erichs may the rest in peace
i lost my wife of 15yrs and lil sister by the time i was 43 so i feel the pain maybe not like kevin idk but it hurts and i love the VE boys of the 80s and it jus makes no sense! im sorry kevin and man i feel pain too its rough man but its my 1st year... i lost 2 uncles, an aunt, and a buddy of 35yrs this year too... im hurt bad
Please write a book Kevin. The movie was good but failed to capture the true story. Partly because there is not enough time in a movie to capture the Von Erich family story. It would make a good episodic one-off series. I still can’t believe they completely wrote out Chris. I know there were too many characters to cover in a movie but it is really disrespectful to his memory
Kevin doesn’t sound like he’s too fond of the movie but I can understand why. It’s got to be gut wrenching living through all the tragedies again. Folks, I will recommend on WWE Network, I think it’s called the World Class Tragedies of Von Erich’s. It came out a long time ago but that documentary is probably one of the best I’ve seen ever about the Von Erich’s. Gary Hart is part of it, and he watched these guys grow up so he had some great stories.
I would definitely read his book.
Kevin seems like a genuine, great human being. I couldn't imagine the life he lived with him being the only son left.
WOW @Eric Carroll, I had no idea you and Kevin did a podcast with Mr. Severn. this is great
It sounds like he's almost distancing himself from the film.

can you blame him?
I enjoyed ur movie I grew up with u guys I know the real story
Kevin still defending Fritz. Sad.
😮😮😮
Let’s not forget Kerry was married with two daughters too !
Is that Kevin or Scott Glenn lol
I’m sorry but Fritz sounds like Joe Jackson of wrestling fathers
They could have done this type of movie on the Hallmark channel no disrespect to the family. I think we the public want to see and hear about the tragedies and the successes also. I totally understand out of respect for the family not wanting to go really deep into it and wanting to make a sort of feel good type of movie if you can call it that but we the fans would love an in depth documentary. Yes you can obviously go to KZread and find a whole bunch of stories but it would be cool to have one that is compiled of almost everything you can find in one.
Kevin will go to the end of the earth to defend his father. Sad
Discipline agreed
I thought it was a great movie, It's I found out about the family. I'm sure it is not all accurate. That's impossible, really. But it was a brilliant movie
They left big parts of the story out David's newborns daughter dying, Chris Von Erick death & alot of other stuff

I watched something about where they took Chris out completely because they felt it would be too much on the audience
I've seen a lot of interviews with Kevin on the topic of Fritz and the type of man/dad he was and I'm convinced he may be suffering from Stockholm syndrome when it comes to his old man...understandably so btw

Can't wait for Kevin's book and the real movie to come out. Can't believe Chris was left out. Very disjointed movie. No character development.

I believe kevin 100% but something is not being said imo . If you have a close loving family that are always there for each other and also all so talented and loved why all the drug use to numb reality from a young age and why so much Suicide? Again im not doubting nothing being said but somthing had to be missing for so many members of one family to be so hopeless.. yes kerry lost his leg but god gave him the strength to still be at the top of the wrestling world and still be successful so why so much self loathing? Something just dont seem to add up..

I think we're missing the bigger picture I can bet almost all of them took steroids and that f**** up your mind A lot of people that take steroids commit suicide especially people that take it to succeed and end up failing and this family had a lot of misfortune. They only showed one needle in the whole movie but I have to believe it was more prolific than that. Then you get into drug addiction which is rumored to be for at least one of the brothers possibly two. It's not hard to understand the pressure these men were on to succeed whether it was put on by their father or on themselves we will never know. It's also been shown that mental illness runs in families.

@@SScott-nr9vl I agree! And I remember tearing up the day i heard about Kerry. I was a youngster and he was my favorite Wrestler growing up...Sad situation but I'm glad they told the story and it will reach a younger Audience that otherwise would t have known about this . And I believe it's a lesson that could help people and that's great!

Def some sa going on why they killed themselves violence people get over sa not so much js
There's a difference between discipline and abuse. I'm going to get a lot of flack for this but this looks like someone who has PTSD. I'm not convinced the dad was a saint I'm sorry it's not the movie it's watching this man's behavior and how he says his father was wonderful and that his father would whoop their asses I don't think you can have both. I'm not against discipline but I think there was violence in the home otherwise they would have had a strong foundation almost all of them ended up on drugs and steroids and they all killed themselves That's not a stable Christian house That's lies propaganda and BS. For Kevin to come on here and say he "disciplined" his kids You learn what you know.
Legend.
