The federal reserve has forced us into a position where they can’t lower interest rates. In fact, it’s more likely that they will raise interest rates. In order to fight inflation, you have to raise the interest rates to meet inflation. If your inflation is a 12% you have to raise interest rates to 12% or higher. Unfortunately, the federal reserve can’t do that because $35 trillion in debt. The debt would become unpayable. The other big issue is that so many people are using credit cards to supplement their lack of income. Raising interest rates has already crippled the housing market and the auto market so raising interest rates at this point would only serve to hurt those people using credit cards.

You are 100% correct. I have a 800 credit score and my wide body challenger HC was 9%. I was shocked, but when I looked around that's what it was. I try to pay more each month to lessen the blow of the interest as best I can. Inflation is a BEAST these days

I have a 2024 Durango Hellcat mid 700s credit score and my APR was 7.19% (84 mths) 😭😭😭 my mortgage is wayyy lower than that. CREDIT UNIONS are the way to go!
