Unusual for the flue stat to go Dan I think you can just pull one of the leads off you don't need to bridge it

Didn’t know that about just pulling the leads off. I’ve done quite a few flue stats to be fair. But I do mostly work on Baxi’s and Worcesters. 😂

Good video and good choice to fit external pressure vessel most mi’s state that the pressure vessel is only to take expansion of boiler so should always fit a secondary vessel to take expansion of system

Less work yeh but not cheaper with materials :)

I discovered that those fill valves allow back siphonage which is a shame because I’ve fitted loads of them.

Does the little double check valve in the connection at the bottom not counteract that now though, I knew they used to have the back siphonage issue but thought they’d rectified it.

Dan, as someone new to gas, the first video, how did you know to check the flue stat? Please advise as I’m keen to learn breakdowns but would be helpful if you’d show how you checked first, and how you “looped out” to test, many thanks bro.

Hey mate. This answer will honestly require another video 😅 it’s quite long winded. I’ll do one in Feb, but basically i was following the sequence of the boiler as it try’s to fire. 🙏🏽

Dan I get them ball valves from tool staion thers only a pound in different between the two so don't be so tight get the brass shank ones I know they are slightly longer but all I do is put some poly washers to take up the difference if the pipe is fixed hope this helps Dan

Price and the fact it looked a pain to do yeh mate, didn’t want to open a can of worms. However. Had this boiler not been in a cupboard. I’d of tried the hose change 🙏🏽

@@GasTraining I changed the expansion vessel internally on ideal logic 30 a few days ago it was installed in a bathroom cupboard it was just a general question I asked and no I've been doing boilers a few years now. But you live and learn every day and I like to see how others go about there work and maybe help me in the future

Who put a radiator in that space with the boiler? 😂😂😂

@@Heatking its actually far better for your heating system as pressure wont go past 2 bar if you put a 12 in say and you only need 8
