Warning Bridge Out! | Hiking the Baker Lake Trail in the North Cascades of Washington

I was all excited to do this trail, my goal was at least 6 miles in then we would turn around. My hopes were dashed when I saw the river, there was no crossing that with the high water. We watched 2 people struggle across and one fell, they were both up to the knees at times in fast moving water surrounded by boulders. The creek was called Anderson Creek, 1.6 miles from the parking lot trailhead. We did 3.2 miles with around 600 feet of elevation gain and then went to find trail number 2 for the day, the Baker River Trail :)

@AmericanOutbackAmazing I'm doing ok. Weather is nice. Like 70s. Which I like. It was raining today which I liked. It fit my mood. I got myself into doing 1500 piece puzzles. Got this really cool puzzle table with drawers , on wheels and the table tilts up. Makes time go by. And of course the puzzle is of a cabin on the lake. I've been watching the NHL playoffs. Are you into hockey?

Nice, sounds good! No hockey here, it was fun when Seattle made the playoffs last year though. They do not show the Kraken games on local tv, some weird channel most don't get with streaming tv subscriptions. I read they are finally putting hockey and baseball on the over the air local channels next year so I can watch them then.

@AmericanOutbackAmazing I went to the Buffalo bandits championship game last night. It's LaCrosse. They won. Probably will be the only team that wins from Buffalo lol. It's was fun. Kinda lost my voice. It's gonna be hot today. 80s for the week. How's your weather? And how's your foot ?

We are having our most normal May that we have had in the last 3 years. It has been wetter, cooler, and cloudier. I hope it continues and helps us have a less severe fire season. My foot and other muscles are still getting stronger, no major issues still :)

Hey buddy! Looks nice up there. We have been on the coast ever since we got back from Hawaii couple weeks ago we have a place out here in Ocean shore. I am hoping to get up to Mount Baker before it gets too hot. Did you ever decide on a e-bike?

Sounds awesome, great time to be at the shore. I am not getting an e-bike at the moment, getting a Project M Camper pop-up instead. Will be installed soon, can't wait to use it and make some videos! Maybe in a year or 2 will get an e-bike, I like the Rad bikes now that they are using potted batteries, first company to do so. Tons of snow on Baker, I hope to get up there to, been years since we actually hiked on one of those trails. Stay safe, forest roads opening soon, I think Memorial Day is final opening day for majority?
