Its not actually a bad system...should the nobility actually keep their word and codes. Loosen up the treatment of the peasents and enforce the codes and they would be set. There is a reason feudalism lasted so long in our own world.

True, although ideals seldom marry well with reality. And we have to remember, Warhammer is designed to take any given concept to it's worst possible extreme to create that grimdark atmosphere it's so famous for.

But in a magical hermit Kingdom were the great leaders really are demigod rulers as well as much of the elites of society. *It is honestly a scary thought that the gap between powerless peasants and demigod nobility is SO vast and horrendously onesided.* A society that favors the nobility which have *actual "divine right to rule"* to justify themselves and their actions because many of these nobles, the aptly named *"Grail Knights",* that make up a decent chunk of the Bretonnian aristocracy have meet their goddess the Lady of the Lake herself in person, receiving her, blessings and her divine legitimacy/backing as well as ofcourse the legendary boon of demigod tier powers.
