Maybe you'll see it in 3 days, maybe you'll see it in a week. Or maybe you'll see it in 2~3 months again and I lied to you all ahehehehehehehhehehehehehe Dagath was a pain to write for if it wasn't obvious - after Kullervo, I felt like we were treading old ground for the most part. So I'm not ffuuulllyy satisfied with how her video came out. I like her well enough, but eh - not a huge fan of her. Regardless, thanks for watchin' lads. My main issue is that she's a horse rider that doesn't feel like she's a horse rider. If she rode a horse, I wouldn't have to feel like this, but the horse controls like ass for alot of people, so maybe that's a good thing? 🙃

to this day, Ive never gotten over the fact that they didnt make Proteas ult an exalted Necramech because (big sorry to Vauban) aside from her 4 she is THE perfect engineer frame (and specially since orphix showed how those are probably the most practical out of all the other movement things we have), and also her 4 is wasted potential for an actual temporal mage/time manipulating frame

Something else to mention about Dagath, is that: 1) She came out with the shield gating rework. 2) She came out in the same update that the Catalyzing Shields mod did. Catalyzing shields reduces shields to 1/5th, but enables a consistent 1.33s shield gate from max shields. It is the Decaying Dragon Key, but official. 3) Her default aura polarity is _ZENURIK._ That's the = symbol. Exactly _ONE_ aura mod in the _ENTIRE GAME_ uses this polarity. _BRIEF RESPITE._ 4) Dagath's maximum default shields at Rank 30 are _250._ 5) With Catalyzing Shields, her shields stat drops to _50._ 6) Brief Respite takes 1.5x the energy cost of an ability and turns it into shields. 7) With Blind Rage, Wyrd Scythes will max out her shields in a single cast with Brief Respite. Alternatively, at default efficiency, you can achieve max shields with two augur mods, or three augur mods with a Rank 4-out-of-5 Streamline for 25% ability efficiency. 8) *WYRD SCYTHES has a ONE-SECOND (1s) COOLDOWN BETWEEN CASTS.* If you are spamming Wyrd Scythes as _hard as humanly possible,_ there is a _1 second window_ in which you _CANNOT_ cast it again, and a further 0.33 seconds of shield gate invulnerability in which you _CAN_ cast it again, maxing out your shields once again before they're broken again. Dagath was LITERALLY DESIGNED TO BE BABBY'S FIRST SHIELD GATING FRAME. Paired with her passive, a good amount of energy capacity is basically all you need to be invulnerable for as long as her energy stores allow, exclusively off of Wyrd Scythes.

I can see a mod spreading the damage across all marked enemies if the current target dies or a similar mechanic but going specifically to an unmarked enemy is a very interesting idea. I like it.

The curse spreading after the scythe dealt its damage would be like doubling your damage output (i.e. tripling your base damage) and/or giving infinite range to the power so long as enemies are nearby the one getting killed 🧐. The suggestion would be great with just the scythe attacking another target, no cursing others. After all, it's the initial cast that does the cursing, not the scythes 🤷‍♂️.

I have to admit, Dagath's story is a bit more interesting than her kit to me in this case. A former Dax that did double duty as an illicit lover, and also the reason why Grandmother is distinctly nameless? Fun stuff alongside' beats up an old man' Lavos

@@rivershen8954 Grandmother tells you the story herself if you visit Dagath's coffin in the corresponding Dojo room, but to put it a little less shortly: the Dax that would become Dagath was formerly a bedroom partner for a powerful Orokin couple, and as you'd expect from them the relationship in question is abnormally lopsided. They pretty much treat her like an object, not even giving her a name, and if word got out she'd be executed right then and there. The couple in question gets off of how illicit the whole affair is, pretty much.

@rivershen8954 Basically after an 'accident' that impaled the Dax's horse and (unintentionally) the Dax herself, she was turned into a warframe to save her life, but apparently banging a warframe isn't quite 'taboo' enough for the couple's taste, so they tried to get rid of her by blasting a lazer through her head and dumping the remains in a trash heap. Apparently that wasn't enough to kill her, and the couple's mangled corpses were found by sunrise.

I got a strange feeling he skipped Kullervo but he didn't, but then I felt something missed, and after a while I remembered Citrine exists and he skipped her

@@DoctorCataclysm I didnt say they are bad, Citrine, Kullervo, Styanax, Voruna, even Dagath are all arguably top tier, so they are definitely good but forgettable, dont ask me why as I havent pinpointed it yet, my main theory is that although DE finally figured what makes frames good, they are executing it in too similair ways to each other. Caliban is widely considered to be bad just because almost no one plays him, while his kit is completely fine although a bit clunky, while Mesa and Saryn are both DPS horde clearing frames, but the execution of that same concept is vastly different between them, and thats where DE used to excell, making frames memorable even if they are doing the same thing In MY OPINION, the last frame that still somewhat followed that concept was Xaku to others, newer frames may be even more memorable than older ones, but Im more likely to forgett Voruna or Citrine or any of the newer guys than say Oberon or Chroma, even though they are leagues better than those guys

@@teocappy I mean, you can love a frame but hate its gameplay 🧐. They aren't mutually exclusive. When you say you "like/love" something, it's a general assessment. Sometimes the general assessment can be positive, but still have one or many specfic aspects be negative that it's not worth using/playing it. It's called having a nuanced opinion/take. If I take myself as an example, I love the champion Azir from League of Legends. I love his lore and gameplay, but I'm physically incompatible with him (my hands shake whenever I'm stressed, i.e. in any teamfight), so I very rarely play him. My rarely play him doesn't change the fact that he's my favorite champion 🤷‍♂️.

I just don't like how toxic other warframe guides are, saying if your not using the meta then your "trash" and if you disagree with them then your "huffing copium". Trib is a lot more chill, he shows you his honest opinion on the frame, gives you some advice on how to build them and makes some jokes along the way without ranting about meta this or level cap steel path that, witch is a much needed breath of fresh air for me. He's fun, witch is what entertainment should be, and informative witch is what a guide should be, without being toxic witch is what the warframe community is sadly becoming. Seriously I take a break from this game for a year and now everyone's at each others throats because of what builds they like to use, wtf happened?

I think we've reached a point where we have too many frames compared to the number of mission types. And as far as I'm aware we only have two mission types - kill everything quickly, and Spy.

When it comes to Dagath’s 4, I just like seeing the funny numbers as I drive them through a crowd of marked enemies. They do so much damage that they’re more of a toy than a tool.

Her 4 is mostly useful as a survival tool in my experience. Its high cost coupled with its invulnerability window works well with Brief Respit, the aura her starting polarity makes very clear they want you to use.

I remember when Loki was the best frame in the game for his ability to just break the AI.

Would have been funny if they just made the 4th power an exalted horse summon that runs around doing stomps and stampedes then when you want jump on but it drains energy as you ride around shooting off of it

I think the nuking issue comes from the perception from the community. A lot of the time any frame that is only good in CC will always be seen as worse by a community focused on killing as fast as possible.

I mean to be fair, it's not like the game really encourages anything else. Besides Interception and arguably Void Cascade, most game modes are only advanced wheen enemies are killed. Even Void Armageddon makes killing enemies as fast as possible mandatory since, well, the exodampers are on a timer and if you don't kill the ones at A fast enough B will spawn.

@@lookalike4805 In a horde shooter, having means to wipe the field of most targets is a GOOD thing. If you cant kill them, at least MANAGE them by ragdolling them into a small area and let your guns do the talking. Nuking the field is the BEST version of CC, but if you cant nuke, controlling the enemy STILL isnt a bad thing. Vauban is a great CC frame, even if he cant nuke. He cant do much else, but that's mostly due to him being an older frame with ONE purpose in mind. Even Saryn suffers as while she's able to nuke the field, it takes a little time, and even then, she doesnt DO much else

@daviddragonheart6798 That's a Build Issue... The Rework essentially turned Boonen Into a Nuke Frame. And he's one of the Better ones since his Damage Output Scales With Enemy Levels .. But that's also Why Warframe is so God Damn irritating lately. 😤

it is just worse these daysbecause of the new eximi, before I had this same mindset of CC being a useful tool but now, frames that heavily rely on it really are much worse (I was one of the biggest defende3rs of Vaubans strength but now he needs to tremble if exmus will lay his a"" down because his entire kit revolves around CC-ing enemies)

I got the immediate impression that Kullervo and Dagath were originally one kit concept that got split and expanded.

Crowd control frames aren’t very good now that eximus enemies ignore their abilities. As for other support frames you can only have so many stealth frames. Support, healing and buffs are largely replaced with arcanes or the helminth system.

The issue is Warframe is a self feeding cycle of designing content to require big damage to complete, meta and comp players feeding into this by policing anyone who doesn't run "meta" 24/7 and then every new frame feeding further into it while the devs don't create any new content to give purpose to utility frames

Dagath is easily one of my top 5 favorite frames her concept and design is amazing and she’s so fun to play

The horses do contact damage during the invulnerable cast animation too so if you cast it on super heavies like acolytes they fall over dead instantly

Heres my thought on the doom scythe issue if you kill the person before the scythe completes it flies to dagath locked in at the damage amount and when an enemy hits you the scythe will launch at that person for the damage it was locked in at

Wyrd Scythes quickly became one of my favourite abilities to use, and it's related to a bit of a minor side use. Yes, it's an orbital ability but I like what comes after. When they launch off they'll seek out enemies, if there are any in seeking range. Otherwise, they fire off towards your crosshairs. With, if not infinite, very long range. And they'll just punch right through everything in their path. You can snipw enemies through walls that you can't otherwise even see. Or nail enemies trying to take towers in Interception from across the map. Good fun.

@@lovej8359 Reave give you immunity to dmg while you use it, additionally it also cleanse status if hot a enemy and heals your HP and I think shields as well ( I don't remember if you need to hit shielded enemies though). You need to be careful, sure, but personally I've subsumed over her 3, using the 4 to deal Eximus or Acolytes, and Reave for "trash cleaning" or, as a bonus, mobility tool Also, now that I've had more time with that build, this suggestion of mine isn't OP at all, I do recommend trying, cause I think it's quite fun, but anyway: it's a build better suited for missions with great density of enemies, otherwise it may be difficult to upkeep energy (I do survival a lot though, so for me it's quite a fresh air for that) and since survivability comes from invul periods on casting skills, it becomes difficult to survive with no energy

I can look past the nuke to world frames becoming normal if the trading system was streamlined so you could make builds for them without needing to wait through a dojo loading screen, then activate the trade itself, make sure you have needed amounts of trades required, menu for items, wait five seconds, AND then you can actually trade. Repeat process 2-6 if you are trading more than SIX items.

tbh Kullervo and Dagath are some of 2 of my fav frames and for very similar but also play-styles, marking and blowing a room up is so satisfying to me and there is a nuance difference in Kull being melee focused and Dagath being more of a caster that I can get a fix of either focus (I love caster frames but sometimes I wanna swing a sword around), viral stacking also is really good with Grimoire that has galvanized mods

From doing some testing, it seems the "observed" damage from Doom takes into account unrealized damage from procs like heat. Pure heat tenet cycron i'll get through maybe 20% of a 185 SP heavy gunner's health and then the scythe just outright kills them its kinda great

So if your heat proc would do 5 tics of 50 damage, the doom sees and calculates its percentage off of 250 damage the moment the proc triggers?

For anyone wanting an effective ability sequence for Dagath: 3 -> 1 -> 2 -> 4 Activate 3 at mission start, find enemies and prime the Scythes around you with 1, then immediately press 2 because there's little/no delay, and now the entire room is Doomed because the Wyrd Scythes had time to count down their throw delay while you were casting Doom Now spam 1, casting 4 as desired, and repeating the 1 -> 2 sequence as needed Serves [infinite] people Enjoy

So I had an idea for an augment for Dagath's Doom. Dread Feast: Hold cast to bring the cythes of the status back to Dagath, this replenishes energy to Dagath and perhaps nearby allies, and grants Dagath a boost for casting speed for perhaps 10 seconds or something. It probably could use some work on improments. Let me know what you guys think.

I think it would be cool if Doom worked like this: if Doomed enemies receive an overkill amount of damage (as in more than enough to kill them), the Scythe flies out to seek the nearest NON-DOOMED enemy and apply the overkill portion of the damage to them. It would be a nice way to passively kill weaker targets and chip at heavier units without making it too easy to spread Doom or nuke tiles, which would be in line with her very active playstyle. I know this would be triggering MOST OF THE TIME, but if you're doing most of the damage yourself you'd still have to be very active to clear groups. It would help the debuff feel a little better when our own personal damage is so high that Doom feels like it's not doing much.

I feel spreader frames suffer from snowball dillema, if for some reason you cant constantly do your loop your entire rotation fucking dies cuz you run out of energy or combo… I love voruna but if theres nothing for me to kill for about a minute (which happens more often than youd think) i just implode on steel path… The fact that less enemies is more dangerous is so dumb. Still love corufell voruna, especially now with tennokai…
