    One thing DE didn't consider is swapping impact and puncture makes their faction weapons not make much sense as they are usually designed to attack the other faction since they are at war. Now grineer weapons are good against grineer, and corpus weapons are good against corpus, which is kinda funny.

    My head canon is that Grineer are too stupid to know how to properly exploit corpus defenses with anything other than brute force. Corpus on the other hand are so insistent on using over the top sci-fi technology that they aren’t prepared to deal with the chaotic brutes that grineer are.

    @@VideoKingist It's not something they could 'fix' without changing most faction weapons. They COULD give grineer magnetic damage to their weapons and give corpus corrosive on their weapons in invasions, but that's about it to make their weapons make sense now.

    or even thje same air in different pressure regions. Look at how comubstion engines perform at different altitudes. simply choking a combustion engine out is enough to make it stop. i took a quick look at the warframe models to find out if any type of gas might interfere with them at a first glance: Ospreys definitely use their wings to fly and to propel them forward looking at how they tilt during charges and the smoke/evaporation coming from their wings. So any type of Gas would probably interfere with them in some way. Most Grineer Turrets use physical metal bullets and every gun expert know that the gas pressure inside the barrel und firing mechanism is what makes the gun work in full-auto and also the rockets need Oxygen to be fire. Therefore, any gas might interfere with the system. Eidolon lures seem to have some kind of combustion engine/system, because they puff a cloud of smake every few seconds. MOAs and Bursa dont seem to have any visible Vents as far as i can tell,. Moas release a small coud of gas every few seconds probably more related to a closed hydraulic system, with no visible intake.

    It's actually insane how Lavos just keeps getting better and better with every update. If you run Lavos with Kuva Grattler, Valence fusion and 2 Green Shards, you can get a fully automatic AoE weapon with full armour strip or whatever element you want/need in the moment, that IGNORES LINE OF SIGHT CHECKS. And you'll never guess who the only other frame aside from Protea is who can replenish archgun ammo.

Instead of having to carry around a whole weapon modded for magnetic on the offchance you need to quickly melt some shields or overguard, you just hold 2 + 3 on Lavos and you're set for as long as you need it!

    "I don't know how it chokes machinery, but let's not get into that." *That's actually really simple to explain.* Like how a computer needs a fan to cool off, machines use vents to circulate air and help keep things running smooth. What Gas basically does is pollute that same air and be too powerful for the filters, effectively causing it to break down as that bad air circles deep. So yes, you *are* choking machinery, just through their filtering systems.

    I don't know about anyone else, but I applaud the changes Reb, Pablo, and the team have been making to Warframe. The game, for me, has never been more fun and intriguing. I liked sitting there and getting into the weeds with the old damage system, but it was overly complicated if I'm being honest. The changes work well and I really like that suggested damage types are posted right on the node in the Star Chart. It's great for new and veteran Tenno. Plus, the way Pablo and Reb imagined what the statuses actually do has dragged Cold, Blast, etc up into relevance. Overall, I'm happy with this new system. Oh, AND, the changes weren't such that I had to go redo all my weapon mods (of which I have a lot I've invested in). I could if I really, really wanted to, but for now everything still works okay enough that I don't think it's necessary.

    Generally in my testing, the low end obviously doesn't matter. They splat like nothing. Getting into the higher levels, Pure Toxin simply ignoring the shields still outperforms magnetic, or even magnetic/toxin. With entire seconds of difference once you get ot the current simulacrum cap of 225 SP. Including on Eximus units which should be the ideal use case for the magnetic to outperform. Presumably their might be a scaling level where the Overguard jumps up enough to fix those numbers, but its in the Endurance niche if so. So if you're getting from an innate or progenitor bonus, its .... a bonus occasionally. But modding it for really only falls into the niche of having a designated an anti-Overguard weapon (like that new secondary arcane as well). Between 3 weapons and a companion you can obviously fit that in, but I wouldn't imagine its going to see much uptick other then people who build to that particular level of versatility.

    awesome video. I am incredibly happy DE went with this big overhaul. It shows they arent scared to touch the old core systems which need adjustments. This is one of the many reasons why i love the game and the devs for it. With this i am hoping for more in that direction like: ips modding: Its totally confusing for new players especially, makes the individual types to mod pretty useless and insignificant for most cases. polarity adjustments: Why is cold the only of the core elements with a different polarity and why are so few mods in general part of this category? would make it a lot more flexible if all elements had the same polarity, also similar cases where you just get doomed by polarity in builds so you need to get the same weapon again for that other build to be applicable. Boss reworks: There are a bunch of bosses who feel very bad to fight against. Some great overhauls here with better or existing mechanics would be awesome. Raljack: Awesome idea, needs more development. Same with Archwing; Archguns; Archmelee. Very undeveloped for most parts but could be potentially amazing. Outdated Frames: They are already doing this and its pretty good (Pablo ftw). With how updates have been for the recent time (awesome and often better than i couldve imagined) i really hope they will tacle these.

    Fantastic work as usual, this is a great guide on the updated status effects and damage types. I am super happy with the new armor formula for enemies, it allows corrosive status to perform similarly to viral when comparing equal numbers of stacks at around 2500 armor. Enemies with max armor will see each stack of corrosive improve damage more than an equal number of viral stacks, which just feels appropriate for a status that is meant to counter armor.

    You should have the most subscribers in the Warframe KZread channel community. You make the content so much more easier to digest, every other KZreadr I have noticed who does Warframe content, either doesn't properly explain the subject or tells people to watch another one of their videos for a more in depth guide which is still somehow too complicated, they seem to make videos with the assumption that every player knows how it originally worked and are well versed in how the game works. I MUCH prefer watching your videos for topics cause you fully explain it in detail from the ground up without confusing newer players (aka: me). Even if I am relatively new, I can tell that you put insane effort into your videos to make it easy to digest. I genuinely found time flying by when I watched this video when usually I would be sort of bored. All in All, by far the best Warframe content creator for me personally and as of right now, I'm definitely only going to watch your videos for Warframe news/updates from now on.

    @ 17:20 Ive gone through multiple tests now using a Rubico modded to one shot with Lavos infusing. Only to find that the Blast is significantly inconsistent. Killing smaller targets will almost never kill larger ones (though the damage is not being capped by their hp, at least based on displayed numbers while the reverse always holds true. Similar targets will sometimes die in unison, but more frequently seem to take approximately two thirds of their health in damage (when the 300% of the damage that kills one heavy should obviously completely down another). And a surprisingly large amount of them left with just a 1hp looking sliver. Along with all the LoS issues that Acid Shells had, with enemies in various ragdoll or lifted states completely ignoring the blasts.

Tusk thumper, Necramech) and bosses (eg. Eidolons, void angels, ropalolyst). Following the descriptions for sentient and murmur enemies, this answers the question for Necramech, eidolons and the ropalolyst. But what about some of the other enemies I mentioned? Corrupted Vor stands out as a prominent example, since the orokin/corrupted enemies are resistant to radiation.

    Does status chance mean the % of chance you get to proc 1 of your status effect with the weighting deciding each proc's percentage to proc and if status is above 100% it'll guarantee 1 proc and have a chance to proc another proc? Example: 2 elements with 114% status chance will proc a guaranteed status effect and an additional 14% chance to proc another status effect, with which status effect to proc decided by the weighting, but the weighting is above 100% e.g. 66.6% and 47.4%? I don't understand this and the wiki doesn't explain this nor have I found a video that talks about this.

  • @DumbArse

    @DumbArse

    6 күн бұрын

    Yes it's 100 to proc 1 and no? The weight only goes to a hundred and it's just the percentage of how much X damage is of your total damage. If your status is 150% then it does 1 calculation for your guaranteed status to see what it procs, does one to see if the remaining 50% procd and then again does one to see what it procs

  • @user-eq3fl1qu2q

    @user-eq3fl1qu2q

    Yes that's how it is. Any % past 100% means you have a chance to get a second proc and that second proc is determined by your weapon's stat weighting.

  • @TheKengineer

    @TheKengineer

    6 күн бұрын

    The weighting as shown in the UI is not the actual proportional split but a representation of the average number of procs per type you land per hit. So when it says 66.6% heat and 47.4% corrosive, it means each shot averages to 0.666 heat procs and 0.474 corrosive procs, How each proc is chosen is a simple proportional split based on damage composition. If your damage is composed of 60% heat and 40% corrosive, 60% of your status procs will be heat and 40% will be corrosive. How frequently you land those procs is entirely down to how quickly you attack (fire rate/attack speed), how often you hit (multishot/melee duplicate), and what status chance you have.

    I really wish blast damage on its own gave bonus radial damage (like how acceltra works) and/or the individual "pop" status procs dealt their damage in a slight (1m to 2.5m) AoE. This is because it competes against flat heat. Blast deals 30% dmg per instance (or 60% avg if you get all 10 stacks), while one heat proc deals around 100% per tick (600% over its duration, not including stack refresh). Its 1000x better than it used to be but i still think its a bait unless you can always group up every enemy, with max stacks on every hit, all of the time.

  • @GogTheCaveman
    @GogTheCaveman23 сағат бұрын

    I'm really glad we're finally getting a shakeup on which damage types are good vs completely useless, but I gotta say that the new weakness / resistance system is honestly disappointing. Being faction-wide is just so uninteresting and it just means that aside from status (and also toxin specifically), you literally just bring the "correct" damage type when you start the mission. Like, there's no more "I'll run radiation on Grineer to take out the big alloy-armored targets but it'll be less effective against the other guys", it's just "I'll run corrosive because this is a Grineer map and it does more damage to everything". The different resistances of health, armor, and shield types within a faction actually made it so there were (theoretically) interesting decisions about what to use during gameplay.

  • @m1ck3yG10v3r
    @m1ck3yG10v3r6 күн бұрын

    Since you specified that the viral status is a % bonus to their health, does that mean that you need to fully armor strip the Grineer to benefit from that bonus, or does it work against the damage reduction they get from their armor? I'm not sure if its an "armored health" type thing or a more separate barrier like I assume the corpus and shields are. I've been using viral status as a catch all damage boost and am now pondering if that was stupid since I rarely bother full stripping armor.

    I've got to ask how you found the new armor equation I spent a bunch of time looking for it myself using practical values from testing (which is never an exact science), and came up with the equation f = [(x^0.54)/(x^0.54 + 720)] * 10 which gives a very similar curve but always seemed suspect due to its rather overly specific numbers. Also in my testing I was trying to find the new equation for grinner health scaling. I noticed you didn't mention it in the video, and my tests (using similar methods to armor) have lead me to the conclusion that they didn't buff the health scaling? I wasn't sure if I made a mistake in my calculations or if maybe you'd run into something similar?
