Hi - so glad you have joined the 'Dark Side'!! I love this game and I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun - don't bother with expansions yet as there is a lot of game in the the core box! (BTW if you need help with any aspect of the game, Jester and myself are here to help) 👍😉
Human Wave should have been placed in the Moist Jungle location. “Target Closest” doesn’t mean the card is placed in a different location.

Using tweezers is so smart! I'm going to use them the next time I play. Thanks for the video! Good game m8
I've had this game for a really long time, and could never play it because there was something about the way the squad set up and point costs were explained in the rules that confused me.. I've got TBI from the military, and a bit of neurodivergence ontop of it too, so I just put aside stuff I can't get into and then forget about it. I just came across the box again while clearing out other stuff, and I decided to look up videos to see if I could get into it at all, playthroughs WITH rules explanations, explaining why stuff happens and what point costs are, etc, etc... The way it was all so clearly explained in this video was perfect, it was exactly what I needed to unlock playing this game for me. It's not like other playthroughs where people just play the game; I really needed the clear explanations for things, and you've given it to me! Thanks for the upload, you got another subscriber.

Awesome. Warfighter makes for great playthrough series. This is the only Warfighter variant I don't have. I already have the European theater variant which makes this one seem a little redundant. Maybe some day, but for now I'm pretty satisfied battling the Nazis. Plus there's Japan expansions out there if I get desperate for some Pacific action. Have you tried PMC yet? I'm just sinking my teeth into that one. Really fun. It's basically "Warfighter" the Campaign... and it adds a Corsair Leader style RPG progression for your soldiers.

Hi penoyer79 and thanks for the comment. I get what you're saying and that's the great thing about this series is that you can add expansions as and when you want. I'm afraid I don't have PMC (just ETO, PTO and Modern) but it's seems very popular along with Shadow War. :-)
Are you planning on doing an unboxing of the North Africa version of the game? There's no unboxings of Italian Royal Army that I would love to see.

Hi Shane. Unfortunately I won't be getting this version (unless DVG are kind enough to send a review copy).
Good production quality on all of your videos. I got this game and need to get back on the table again. How would compare the Pacific (Japanese) version to the Europe (German version) of Warfighter? One more difficult than the other? Thanks Rough.

@@RoughSwordsmanWargamer I can give it a crack Rough! It’s not cheap but I actually think that it is worth every penny and then some. There’s a huge amount of content to the game which is increased exponentially with volume 2 which as well as introducing a strong RPG element has true unlimited replayability. The system itself is terrific, playing it gives a feeling like being in that final battle in Saving Private Ryan, more so than any other wargame I’ve played. For the amount of game but also the incredible playing experience it delivers I would happily have paid double - it’s that good in my opinion. Destined to be a classic I think.
Hi great play through really helping with playing the game. Wondering if you could tell me what the red text means on player soldier cards. Do I have to put the negative skill cards with them from tge start. If you could help that would be great...👍

@@RoughSwordsmanWargamer Ooops missed this, ignore my last comment :) Old age is a great thing ...
Like the video very much. But I don't understand why the Hostile, HUMAN WAVE, was placed in the first location, SHORT PATROL, in the Mission card. Shouldn't they be placed in Location #2, MOIST JUNGLE? Was Hostile, HARASSING FORCE, played correctly? With a Range of 0, they will never be able to fire on the designated target if they are two locations away.(?)
I have it and really like the game and the stories that unfold but to me it is too fiddly. Too long to set up and too much to remember. I'm probably just getting old and easily irritated by little things but finishing a game is really hard anymore! Good video though!

That's a shame - it's a great game! The set up and working out who and what to take is my favourite part but I get what you're saying. Hope you get back to it one day! :-)
You should have kept drawing Hostiles at the start until you had 3+ points worth for location #2, along with Human Wave, as the other hostiles went back over location #1.
@RoughSwordsmanWargamer

Hi The Last Motel and thanks for the comment. I don't think that's right - hostile cards are drawn for the location card until you equal or exceed the card's experience point total, regardless of where they are placed. (I've checked the most recent ruleset and can't find anything about that - let me know the rule section if I'm wrong so I can look it up.)

@@RoughSwordsmanWargamer Really? Ooops. Sorry. That's me confused then :) I've been playing as though the ones who get moves to another location upon being drawn, because of their card effects, don't count for that location. Been making it harder on myself lol
