Which isn't much at all

Last 1 really stands out. Had a game where I got 6 kills just outside a cap in the woods. Tanks in a mindless dash across a large map to flank spawn only to die to a random swedish bush. Sound is a powerful weapon people

Thank you for the tips. I have been having trouble in BR 5,3 with Tiger and Panther. I always wanted to go into action and rushed it and then got flanked and sniper without even seeing the enemy. So I am slowly learning to use cover and sniper for a far. I am really gonna try the last tip defending last point and try to use cover more.

Nice :) Using the Panther like a sniping tank is a good idea. Its armor is great at 600m and beyond at this BR. A Panther in partial cover is atrocious for the enemy if he doesn't have heat fs ammo. Same with the Tiger. An angled Tiger at 800m is hard to crack.

tbh i don't know if you still play the game, but if you do it comes with time. in the beginning i was also like you, constantly dying. but being patient is usually very rewarding. i feel like this is a game that you get better as you put more hours, like you understand positioning, where the enemies are, what you need to do with a tank etc better. my best tip, play with a shit nation. eg low tier italy/ japan. after playing with terrible tanks that these two tech trees provide, you will get significantly better at germany, russia or usa. just my experience

what really helped me is listening to engine noises inside towns, you can hear them coming and predict when they are going to come out from behind a building

Honestly the hardest thing in realistic battles is seeing my enemy.I sometimes need to watch a clip a few times to spot the enemy tank, yet the guy playing sees it in seconds

Yes that's a ton of practice. And sometimes people just play on ultra low quality... which is borderline cheating in my books. But a good player will still perform better on average. Skill matters!

Just keep practicing and you’ll learn how to not get hit

It should be mentioned that some tanks should NOT angle armor. Tanks with heavily sloped frontal armor but weak side armor, like almost all Sherman variants, and Panthers, will easily get penned in the side even if you angle. In fact, the russian 85mm is excellent at penning angled sides. Tanks like the KV-1 and Tiger 1 are better to angle in Also, rangefinding actually takes a lot of time if your crew is a low level. Usually you'll be able to figure it out in one or two shots, and eventually you'll get used to estimating it.

@@Marfius_Au_Marfongus no, they have really weak sides. If you angle even the slightest bit, something like a Panther can just punch through the plate behind the tracks and then you're dead. This is especially the case with the Jumbo, with a regular sherman you shouldn't be in front of a panther at all, they can pen you anywhere anytime.

It really does help to play as defensively as the map/game permits, this video helped me a bunch

I didn’t know what STAB means and that hitting opponent reveals it on the map. Thanks for the tips!

i thought stab is Stabalizer, aka low speed stabalizer allows you to be able to quick peak, and no stab is just you tryna actually aim your fucking barrel lol, i love germany, but low tier their pretty decent, without that low stab, i feel useless

@@WatchMysh first off I'm not that seasoned. Only played for like two years consistently. But I am normally a heavy main (USSR main also), so I learned some strategy out of the light tank section. Also I didn't really play staying in one place but I do agree it is a big thing to keep in mind. I'm usually a brawler using vehicles like the KV-1, IS-2, Jumbo and such but I enjoy my time with mediums and lights occasionally. I still don't have a lot of nations grinded so I'm looking for tips I could use when I get home internet again lol. Once again, very nice and useful video. Thanks!

Try to abuse Rewards like "Skill Matters Fight your max BR enemies with the lowest BR tanks you're *Good* at The entire reason i somehow had money after grinding to Rank 4 Italy is by accidentally abusing "Skill matters"

This is honestly the most helpful video i have ever seen on war thunders tank combat physics armor and tactics.the people who keep it simple absolutely dominate war thunder...using basics 😂👏 😳 dont rush into battle head first out of cover...use buildings for cover keeping the body of your tank covered keeps u alive constantly check your map. Use hull down whenever you can. Defensive positions always have the advantage so use that against the enemy. If your new there is no rush you dont have too destroy there whole team...relax ...take a strong firing position in cover and simply wait ✋️ there are plenty of noobs in that game that are just as green 😳 as you 😮. You dont want too force anything in tank combat ! Going out too get a kill streak usually just gets you killed! Your wins 🏆 will fall too you naturally if you do the basics...drive 20 yards ...stop...servey the map and area in front of you clear??? Good move 20 more yards check whats out front of you in cover...clear! Move 20 yards! This absolutely makes sense 👏 and im using all of it thanks

@@_al1k_ I don't have a discord at the moment. Thing is I play at very random times because my real life is often quite taxing. That's also why I play War Thunder. Squeeze in a match or two, then other responsibilities come along and I have to quit. So... I'm happy people want to play with me but sadly that's practically not possible at the moment. I can't even play with my rl friends because of all the stuff I have to take care of :-P Maybe that'll be a plan for later... Discord and so on. We'll see. :)

Experience is always the best teacher. Good video. One thing about concealment I would say is be mindful of destructible objects such as thin concrete walls and small or weak wood structures or wood piles. It will give you a false confidence and enemy rounds will go through them and hit your vehicle.

I love your videos! as a new warthunder player Its helping me grasp concepts a lot, thanks for all these great tips!

Best thing you can do is get yourself a set of directional headphones. Take cover, hull down, slowly press forward near cap point and wait it out. It also helps to shut off your engine when you're not moving. Also use your camera to view around corners before you dash out, especially towards the beginning and end of the match as that's where most campers will reveal themselves. Lastly, theres less to worry about if you dont engage every single enemy you see on sight, sometimes letting them pass gives you chances to take out multiples, increasing your SL and RP.

This is the best tips ever, I have done this for one year and my progression is very good. Along the way our skill will be honed and most of the times we will do the extraordinary gameplay. Like this morning I shot without estimating a very long distance shot and I just know that it is gonna hit and it hits, for many times I done this. Also today I fought like 3 tanks simultanously by myself and I win. And I know that it is not because the enemy is weak (my team lost) but because the skills is honed through many hours, yet still unlike many youtubers out there which could single handedly destroyed enemy, in 1 day with a good teams I could only destroyed 4-5 tanks. I really love war thunder 😀

@@snackytem277 guess noob stuff will be prop planes mainly. Also basic principles like 1-circle/2-circle dog fighting which also applies to jets. But I don't play WT jets, so I probably won't go into detail. If I want to fly a jet I launch DCS. :)

Great video tutorial very helpful tips I liked it…. Question on range finding pressing R nothing happens as shown in your video tutorial with a green measuring status bar and I’ve R key set to rangefinding in the settings what am I doing wrong?

Ok I just checked. It's called "rangefinder" in the controls. Try if it works within sniper mode (lshift default I guess).

One thing. If you are in a sniper battle with someone or if you have to react fast in low tier battles where the range finder takes time to measure how far the enemy is, you will die by the time the range finder is done. That tip is useless then but it works better in top tiers where the range finder is very fast. So go in test drive and practice there to not use the range finder to get an idea on how far a tank can be.

Love how your German jumps out every now and then. "One good example would be the *Jagdpanzer vier*" Loved that one keep it up! 👍🏼

Another tip for beginners: do not play realistic battles. It is full of veterans who feasts against new players.

Concerning the rangefinder: don't use it offensively when playing tanks without a rangefinder module, 95% of the time it takes to long and you will be dead.

Just started up war thunder on my ps4, gonna give these tips a go and hopefully this helps out. I chose sweden as my starting country and they have pretty lightly armored tanks as it is.

The trick with the spawncampers is GENIUS. Will have to try it.

A tip for the M3 Stuart you can ram small tanks to cripple them and use the machine guns when u ram

Thank you for an excellent tutorial. One point about "lighting people up with a machine gun." So many players like to "test" their weapons on their teammates when leaving spawn points. It lights them up to and can really hurt scouts trying to hide. Not to mention the occasional person who simply stops dead not knowing its a teammate shooting them and turn and get blown away by an enemy.

Guten Tag auch! :D you're welcome. Ammo basics: APHE = pens and explodes. HE = explodes. AP = pens. Solid = pens and spalls.
