I’d love to see a similar game for revolutionary war (1776) … start with the march to concord to seize powder, concord bridge and lexington green would be two great skirmishes, then perhaps bunker hill and then move through chronologically…

I believe the 1700s is a underrated material for game ideas. We have a handful of games based in the era but no MMO games covering it. I also believed napoleonic wars and civil war games are overrated due to so many devs jumping on the band wagon

@@garygood6804 It's so funny that people say "don't do what a magical man in the sky says" and then mostly the same people ask me to take their word for things based solely on the fact that they said something was so. What's the difference? I believe there's a heaven just as much as I believe I should believe what you say. So the best you possibly can get from me is 50/50 when all you have is emphatic words. That's just how this logically works.

The cost is the issue. It’s one thing to buy and play a game, it’s a WHOLE nother to have to go out and buy all the appropriate, authentic equipment and spend time drilling with actual people. In this economy, less people have the disposable income or time to do such things.

Can you play this game causally without having to join a regiment? And in the same breath, in order to take part in these massive battles, must you be join a regiment?

Since nobody ever answered you - yeah you can play without a regiment.. usually there’s one server up with decent activity. Since the player base is almost exclusively older then the best times to catch a decently sized match is around 7pm or 8pm on weekdays and either mornings or evenings on weekends. I just hopped off an open match with like 200 players on so you can get into some pretty massive battles without a regiment. The fully coordinated and disciplined unit games are mostly private matches hosted by regiments though. Public lobbies tend to have a fair amount of people who are just bad at following orders, although because of the style of the game there usually is great NCOs and commanders from regiments who hop on open matches when nothing big is going on and lead units. It just maybe won’t look as perfectly put together as this, since in these matches everyone is following discipline and knows their officers and so on.

Hey man you beed a really hefty pc to run it I have a 3070 and 24 gigs of ram and still only run it at 70fpd but i would turn down my particles tho if you can thats what I would do

The game has a massive learning curve and it takes a few hours to even know the movements

You can respawn until your team's tickets run out....that means your team loses the match

Try the mount and blade games? Bannerlord is the more recent one but its predecessor Warband has mods for gunpowder eras, think there might be a civil war one as well.

I think bannerlord has a work-in-progress napoleonic era mod right now. Also, not exactly what you want, but mount and blade warband still has active players on the napoleonic wars commander battles mode where each player controls an AI regiment. I was playing the other day with ~35 people

The one thing you can count on in war of rights is people being off beat and off tune when singing

Needs bigger lines... The fights would be so fuckin clean with 150v150 volleying all together. Half the matches are groups of 20 split up across the map which sucks.
