How come you cant see the cannonball fly ? For example you can i. holdfast nations at war. Gives u a good view of where u are firing and is realistic. Youd see the cannon ball fire.

I hope they add railway and armored trains and warships in the coming years , anyone with me ? and make a revolutionary game and Spanish American war game . I am so hyped for this it is one of the best historical war games ! 😀

just got my 2080 super and i7-9700k build back in february. didn't get this game till last week and have a big addiction to it now. lol

I can't believe I haven't played this game yet. That that cannon shot at around 7 minutes was so satisfying.

The survivors just ran away in every direction. Dang. Some village in Minnesota isn't getting the hay in next year.

In the ACW-era army the group of men who operated a field gun were known as a detachment, not a crew. A crew was only in the navy. If you want to be more accurate with your commands, 2 guns were known as a section. So as a junior officer you’d command the left or right piece of your section. In practice, most individual guns were micromanaged by the chief of piece who was a sergeant and typically mounted.

As an arty man myself this video is one of my favorites

Lol perfect Rammer dude makes it across field to captain and boops him a couple times with ramrod before getting gunned down, then immediately the arty crew retaliate by making their entire squad pink mist.

It’s so cool to see the armies from a distance firing.

Spotter needs to know the difference between fuse time too low and a hit. Kinda hard when you're new, but look for impact then explosion to be sure. Gg

Some fine gunnery there. Coming from NW arty main too. Was a captain of artillery in the 91st Argylshire Highlanders (Terry McLeod) before all the drama.

Just curious-do the actual artillerist tables inside the caisson lids apply? The level of detail the developers paid attention to tells me they probably made the distance tables work also.

When people playing take it seriously and get better each time they play ,it’s a sheer joy to play but I’d like to play as Stewart’s cavalry

I feel like the artillery company could have a comms guy whose job is to talk in text chat. The arty commander uses binoculars for recon as well and the comms relays that info in text chat to the other companies.

That was a good game. That sniper artillery shot was incredible. The timing and placement was absolutely movie on point. Like there's never been that good of a shot. ..crazy good. And I bet all standing there all jaws hit the floor.. everyone stopped and kinda looked at each other lol. Like wtf just happened I know I would have thought they fuking fired that at me for God sake lol cool but fukin hell.
