@@Jinkis mate, it's not humourous at all how you're insinuating support for Russia by referring to the rebellion in Donetsk and Luhansk by making the assumption that military action by the Ukrainian government is equivalent to what the Russians are doing under Putin. It's two completely different situations - Ukraine was trying to take back territory that was overrun by rebels/terrorists funded by Russia to destabilise the country to allow for Russia to easily take over Crimea. Russia right now is literally invading for no just reasons and is doing it as a power play to gain resources and more territory. Supporting the Ukrainian military IS supporting the civilians, every euro, dollar, and whatever your currency spent on the Ukrainian military is one step closer to better protecting their countrymen. Hell yeah pairs, I'm stoked that you're playing this. I won a yearly ladder on one of the communities dedicated to this game my first year playing this series (specifically the Battle for Normandy one). I got super absorbed in it and wanted to be the best opponent I could be, so I studied a lot of infantry doctrine manuals from WW2 and current day and applied those tactics in game. It's hard to watch more casual youtubers play this because of how technical and doctrinal you need to be to be successful. I love watching you play it because you understand tactics and communicate well to the viewer. I can also tell you're learning a lot about how to translate tactics to the game engine since your first video on CM. Excellent content, excellent teacher. Thanks bro

Respect for donating money made from the video Without seeing the details, I noticed you gave 'quick' move orders to the dismounted infantry in field of around 300 meters. It's a good idea to give pause orders of about 10-15 seconds very 40-50 meters so they won't get fatigued.

Always good to watch your videos due to your concise summaries in terms of planning and execution. The integration of your mounted and dismounted elements was very impressive given the avenues of approach along the E95 mobility corridor. The importance of good terrain analysis at the beginning of the mission can not be overstated in this case! It allows you to know when and where to achieve a "position of dominance" based on fire superiority and freedom of maneuver.

I too am a fan of no swearing in tactical videos and games. But they are few and far between in the FPS games and vids nowadays---It's one of the reasons I support Ground Branch over other modern shooters. The focus of that game isn't on the realism of the gore and the language of war but on what's most fun to me--gun customization, tactics, teamwork and communication. I like that the AI doesn't cuss.

Not sure if you've dipped your toe into CM mods yet, but HQS (high quality sounds - I believe the latest version is 5.0) is one I really have to recommend. It greatly improves the immersion and quality of all sounds, from penetrations, hits on specific materials (with specific weapon types), etc. The Few Good Men Mod warehouse is a great repository of mods too, ranging from new vehicle skins to infantry uniforms, etc. Worth a peak at the very least, I'd say. Keime's vehicle mods are pretty great, for instance. Finally, thanks for showing more CM and making it for a good cause.

I always wanted to know how a modern battle force vs modern battle force would play out, and info from the actual war is very sparse and incomplete as far as military tactics go (as it should for opsec). With you playing through this and explaining the tactics, I believe people can get a better idea of what's actually going on irl. Plus I was just starving for more CM:BS :P And also thank you for donating the money made from these videos to charity. Many people forget that the real losers in war are the innocents on both sides. My first run of this was yesterday, and I tried to insert half of my BTRs via the road while the other half and tanks fired from hull down behind the embankment mid-field. We got slaughtered pretty bad because of bad timings on advances (I mad dashed), but I discovered a lump in the main road that allowed me to set up 3 BTRs and blind fire them forwards from pull-down, and I made *something* retreat before my advance. My new plan is essentially the same but better timing: roll tanks up the field, let them engage for a while, THEN do the insertion.

Small thing to me, but maybe larger for others? But the "Kiev" pronunciations is the russian version of the naming. I got confused on the news when I heard "Keeeve" and saw it written as Kyiv so I looked it up. I guess Ukraine changed it in 2018. It is produced "Key-ve," as opposed to "key-ev" From the wiki: "KyivNotKiev is an online campaign started by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) together with the 15 member centre for strategic communications "StratCom Ukraine" on 2 October 2018. Its goal is to persuade English-language media and organisations to exclusively use Kyiv (derived from the Ukrainian language name Київ) instead of Kiev (derived from the Russian language name Киев) as the name of the Ukrainian capital."

It's a WWII Company level game, but if you prefer a more modern game, it is very easily adapted. Normally you have several squads in a platoon, and several platoons to a company, as well as HQ staff and weapons teams. In a modern game, you can use: (Two fireteams and a SL) x3 Two MG teams, one AT team and a SL A Platoon Leader and a Sergeant A Medic And a(n?) RTO or forward observer Look who I'm telling though... Anyway, it's a great game. If you can convince a friend to spend a couple hours playing a tactical board game, I highly recommend. If you don't care about the era it's definitely easier to get cheap models and supplies for WWII stuff.

CP, thanks for what you're doing to raise awareness and help support the Ukrainian people. It's horrible what the Ukraines are going through as well as the average Russian soldier who is just following orders and trying to stay alive. So sad. And now, some good old fashioned CM tips! :) At kzread.info/dash/bejne/jJObt5OiZJrVd9I.html your ATGM has a normal Target Arc. I assume you probably wanted them to have a Target Armor Arc (purple arc) so that they don't waste a missile at infantry. At kzread.info/dash/bejne/jJObt5OiZJrVd9I.html your infantry are walking upgright into a combat situation with the standard Move order. I'm guessing that you're probably doing this to conserve stamina. I think a better approach is to use either Hunt (with Hunt they'll crouch and be a little more responsive, going to to ground immediately if threatened) or my favorite when moving to contact over a long distance is with the Quick command (or rather multiple Quick commands interspersed with 10 to 15 second pauses). That allows them to move quickly so they're harder to hit if targeted--but they'll still respond if shot at--and at the pause order they'll take a knee and rest will also be able to get a lookaround and engage threats. You can effectively bound elements forward this way. Great job CP! I love how you explain solid battlefield tactics and your CM vids are my favorites. Keep it up.

Also if you get into making terrain yourself for the battle maps you could have some amazingly detailed and cinematic shots. . . The only downside is it can eventually cost a lot of money especially if you buy the figures pre painted. I'd recommend painting them yourself it can be really relaxing. The most fun I had was painting an easy 8 for bolt action and creating mud to put on the tracks using coffee grinds and white glue.

@@ControlledPairsGaming Hey...! I was just writing a comment recommending Crossfire. One of the simplest and most intuitive games out there. Yet it's often called a simulation because of how many things are simulated by the way the initiative works. Great game for people getting into wargaming and just people who want an intuitive, fast, realistic experience. Edit: The one downside is you need a lot of dense terrain and cover. Which is also an upside because it means the maps are almost always beautiful and interesting.
