Wannabe Soldier tries to convince actual NCO he is a CSM

XX Latest Stolen Valor XX
So I bumped into this ray of sunshine today on 176th st. in Spanaway, WA. Being the good NCO that I am, I figured I'd give him a ride. As soon as I pulled up, I realized, hmmm, we've got a winner. This guy, no PC, no unit patch, no name tag, rockin a specialist rank, and a combat patch from 2SCR, decided he was gonna accept my offer for a ride. Big mistake. I asked him all sorts of questions he couldn't answer. "What unit are you in?' ..."Oh i'm from all around." Why are you in uniform? "oh I have a job later tonight" Lie after Lie. Telling me unreal war stories about his time in Kabul, Iraq.........I'll let that one sink in really quick...... He asked me to drop him off at Safeway, so i did, I asked him to stay in the car for a minute, but he quickly got out. So I followed him. I explained to him how I knew he obviously wasn't a service member right off the bat just by how his uniform was. I started taking pictures and then video. That's when it got interesting. He then claimed to be a SMG from Michigan. He then threatened to "beat my ass," I laughed as it would be a terrible day for him if he tried. He finally took off the top and walked out of the parking lot.
The crazy thing, is after some digging, the person he claimed to be is an actual service member from Michigan. I will be contacting him soon and showing him all of this.
Its scum weasels like this guy that have no respect for those of us who actually live this lifestyle we call the Army day to day. It is extremely disrespectful for our fallen as well. I hope whoever runs into him next isn't as kind as I was.
Please Blast this everywhere!
Thanks.

this scubbag was my former son-in-law. At first, we thought he was wearing my son's uniform, but it turns out it belonged to a friend of my son & myself. The friend served in Iraq with my son as Part of the Oregon National Guard's deployment in 2009 and the friend is still serving on active duty. I just this week learned that he may have stolen my identity and fraudulently open credit card accounts in my name as far back as 2004. As a Vietnam-Era Navy vet myself, I and my entire family deplore his actions.

@Robert Biondo God Bless you Brother and thank you for your service. My Dad was a Vietnam Vet. This past Sunday was his Birthday. I unfortunately lost him to Cancer about 6 1/2 years ago. He served 28 PROUD years in the United States Marine Corps. He did his Boot camp at Camp LeJune in 1966 and retired in 1994 with rank of Top Sargent. I believe it was the highest rank of a non commisioned Marine. I loved him so much and was proud of him Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. It is really upsetting of how are country treated our serviceman when the returned from combat. Anyway GOD BLESS ANYONE that went over to any War and protected our FREEDOM WAY OF LIFE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

I tried to sign up for the Corps but was not allowed I had a childhood accident and lost my left eye. I jumped off our couch and hit direct shot of our television set. Not sure if you remember the old big and bulky wooden floor TV set and had those sharp corners. Well I jumped off the couch and direct shot right into my eyeball. Apparently there was blood everywhere and pretty gruesome looking. That right there was the end of any shot of joining the Marine Corps. It really, really sucks because all I wanted to do was fall right in line as a 3rd generation Marine. I really screwed up the legacy and I think about it everyday. Take care guys and I Love All my countrymen of the USA! Best country in the World!

The neck of your t shirt, kind of sticks out in formation, when everyone else is wearing white and you're the only one wearing blue. I remember my father telling me when was I leaving, "You're going to meet all kinds of people, dumb and smart, from all walks of life in boot." He was certainly right.

They only wear the uniform when it is required and/or the situation or event dictates the uniform be worn. Other than that.... Where's my blue jeans a t-shirt. I'm sure as hell not going to wear it because it's loose fitting and makes my eyes brighter. People need to get a life.

It's called military bearing. Service members, active or not, can usually recognize it. I can usually tell if someone has served before due to their military bearing or lack thereof. It could be something as simple as good posture or dressing sharply and properly. It shows in work ethic as well.

QoVoC, that is definitely something of You to say. It is not what somebody else wears on the outside, it is their comportment and character on the inside that really and truly counts. If I take two White Men wearing suits and ties, both claiming to be business Men, and one is ethical and honest, and the other one is not, how would the outfit had changed anything?! It would not have! Look, the imitation and impersonation of a POSer Civilian pretending to be Military Forces never had, and, never ever will invalidate My Marine Corps and Army Service. How come no one ever wants to claim my job in the Army, I was 75C Personnel Management Specialist, I was hardcore man. I would sneak behind enemy lines and then capture enemy soldiers and then make sure I found them accomodations on base, I mean I had to make sure they were comfortable you know what I mean Vern.

A guy walked up to me like this in downtown Phoenix. Said he was starting his job at the VA down the street, but his car broke down driving across country and he needed to get back to it on the freeway and needed money for gas. He wrote down his numbers and phone numbers etc. He said he would pay me back. I gave him $40 but I wasnt really worried about getting it back. I just wanted his story to be true. The numbers were bogus and he never called. The VA didnt know who he was.

I too was an ACTUAL Soldier (83-90). I just wanted to say "Welcome home Soldier.....welcome home and job well done." I'm in southern Pa, and we are surrounded by bases of all branches. I absolutely love to corner those fake-assed pricks!! We real servicemen, can always spot a poser at 440 meters( That's not-so coincidently the maximum effective range of an M-16A1 for those who don't know.) You'd think that those posers would know better than to even try wearing our uniforms, but then to be dumb enough to actually talk to one of us is just icing on the cake. I have only worn my own class-A's ONE time since my discharge, and that was to attend my fathers' funeral at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. He retired Air-Force after 22 years active duty. I thought it only fitting that his son bury him in a proper uniform. Even then, I checked with the Post A.G office to make sure I was still entitled to wear my uniform. You can bet your ass that I had it freshly dry cleaned, my brass was highly polished, my ribbons were perfect, my tie knot was dead perfect, and I spent about four hours polishing my low-quarters to a blinding shine the night before. The ass-clowns in these Stolen Valor episodes should be dragged through the streets by the wounded who rightfully deserve our respect and gratitude. Then they need their sorry excuses for manhood to be removed with a rusty p-38!! That's a can-opener for civilians. We used them to open C-rations before the MRE came into play around in 84 or 85. I'll get of my soap-box now.

People often mistake me for being in the military because of the way I walk and talk and I tell them nope just the way I am and how I am raised, I do wear military shirts but only as support I would never ever steal valor from those who served I like for they stand for and people like this are remotely sad just sign up for whatever branch then you can try to walk that mile that every soldier walks simple as that but do it because its the right thing to do!!

I saw one the other day in line at the DMV, said she was a Vietnam Vet, got out in 1975. She had her dachshund service dog with her. Kept running her mouth digging deeper and deeper, said she was stationed in Germany but could not tell me her unit. I asked her if she has ever heard of stolen valor, the question confused her. I brought up people out shopping at their home towns in uniform, away from where they are stationed as being a dead giveaway for stolen valor, not always, but most of the time. She came back and said that they wore their camo BDU's all the time even family and friends. Hmmmmm camo BDU's did not even exist back in 1975. The DMV opened and I never was able to finish exposing her. Their are many out there. Unbelievable.

I don't know about today, but back when I was stationed at McChord AFB, WA, which is right next to Spanaway, if you were enlisted, you had your rank on your sleeves. This was true for all branches of service. From 1982 to 1985, I was a SSgt, C-141 Flight Engineer for the 8th MAS.

I had one guy cry talking about what happened when he was in Korea, and was so grateful for my love. When guys like this, and many others in stolen valor videos, do this they take away from the real heroes. They don't get what a true slap in the face it is to do this.

The 110th Wing (110th WG) is a unit of the Michigan Air National Guard, stationed at Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, Battle Creek, Michigan. If activated to federal service the Wing would be gained by the United States Air Force Air Combat Command. The 110th Fighter Wing underwent a major transition moving from the A-10 aircraft to the C-21 aircraft in 2009. The C-21, which arrived in October 2008, is a twin turbofan engine passenger aircraft, the military version of the Lear Jet 35A. With a crew of two, it can accommodate eight passengers and 42 cubic feet of cargo. I am unaware of any SERGEANT MAJORS in the AF RESERVE/ANG/ USAF!
