I see but rather I thought it was cause his vision is anemo like before kazuha was able to parry raidens eletro slash with the help of his old friends electro vision similarly baaladeer has the power of elecrtro after being fused with the vision and was able to bend electric ray gun around and blast it's very energy. This can also been seen since after he took the blast the air was swirling around him like a tornado. Atleast that's what I think.

I think protecting traveler and Paimon was just a byproduct of confronting his past and starting to come to terms with it. That’s probably what would be put in his story of how he got his vision. But still cool nonetheless

God this scene is so addictive, Honestly impressed that hoyoverse was able to make scara a playable character without radically transforming his character, not only is his arc completed but he’s a fleshed out and dynamic character, up there with shenhe and ei in terms of characterisation

I really love Patrick's voice acting, I'm so glad that he voices Wanderer. The way he delivers his lines and the raw emotions in them is insane!! And that facial expression on Wanderer's face, god I will gladly die. And when Scara grabbed his hands, I just love everything about this cutscene.

Visions are a piece of celestias magic that can be given by the archons that hold a connection to celestia aka a gnosis, the symbol the vision is incased in is the mark of the archon that provided it, this is why you see different symbols around each vision of different regions. Kusanali is the god of wisdom and dreams and her method of giving scara the gnosis was through just that.

My personal theory is that visions are a natural component/mechanism of Teyvat, they are a reward for 'humans' who solidify their conviction to see their ambition through. Delusions are the man-made 'great equalizer' as visions would seem unfair to most, a delusion would even the playing field. Celestia doesn't seem to be involved in the handing out of visions and each of the Gnosis seems to function differently to a vision, more like a key/power source where as visions aren't a source of power they simply allow the wielder to channel elemental energy at great reduced health risk to themselves. I am also beginning to believe that Tevyat is a simulation or is stuck in a huge samsara which explains the "looping" and our sibling's war against Destiny.

You can't really blame him for misunderstanding it in such a way. Ei is a good person who suffers from a severe lack of common sense. Every one of her actions are done with good intentions behind it, but her execution to say is bad, is putting it lightly. 1) Causes a Civil war in an attempt to try and force her country into stagnation so Celestial wouldn't destroy it but ends up causing harm to her own country in its place. 2) Creates a living being by accident. Not wanting to force him into anything, she sought to set him free and let him live his life but forgets that he was mentally and emotionally a lost child, and as a result grows up with a terrible misunderstanding.

His Balladeer outfit is based on Danzai Spectramancer, in lore is the deactivated form Mei took when not using her herrscher form. As Wanderer, the usage of light colours resembles Mei's Striker Fulminata's design. Based on the lore and story, Scaramouche is the actual Raiden Mei (current era) expy. Even though Ei resembles Mei in terms of design and powers as a herrscher, considering her actions and backstory, she's Dr MEI (previous era) expy. Makoto have aspects of both eras Mei's traits; brilliant and strategizing mind as Dr Mei, kindness and empathy as Raiden Mei.

The traveler was right in front of the laser wasn’t he? standing in front of Wanderer but when the laser hits, The Wanderer is the one on font of it which means he moved I think

I love when he gets his vision, the first thing he says is DIE

Love how Hoyo progressed his story all the way from the start of the game! Unreconciled stars: first time we met (Hoyo really should've made this a permanent quest) Inazuma Archon Quest: 2nd time we met and when the main plot starts (he gets the gnosis) Labyrinth event: Childe mentions Scara went missing with the gnosis Irodori festival: Shows lore and a small part of his past Sumeru Archon Quest: the climax of the story (he became a major villain) and they explained his backstory completely Final (current) Quest: he redeemed himself (not completely) and finally his true story starts just as Nahida said Honestly, since he was involved with the Tatarigami, Irminsul, the False Sky information. He surely will be involved in the Travelers journey quite a lot.

@@LunaticTrumpet It's already been two years and they still keep doing this, I'm glad I quit the game, I'm still watching the quests cuz I love the lore. But they really gotta stop doing that, they can keep the event games and everything limited but the quests (especially the ones that give so much lore) need to be permanent (if voicelines and size is their issue then they should probably remove the fishing system (which no one even asked for) and give the option to delete voicelines from old quests on PC (it's already been done in Mobile)

1:34 was so wholesome! Paimon attempting to help the Traveler is always great to see!

Funny enough, this scene mirrors raiden mei's transformation into a herrscher. The traveller represents benaras, mei as scaramouche, and the robot as husk nihilus. Difference is, benaras dies while trying to protect mei.

His initial appearance as the Balladeer resembles Danzai Spectramancer, in terms of design and lore implications. His outfit as Wanderer, with the choice of lighter colours parallels Strikers Fulminata. Though in terms of order, the outfit choices are inverse in Honkai's main storyline. Mei took on the Fulminata appearance during her search for Kiana, later on her Spectramancer form (Orochi Cuirass outfit) after her Herrscher awakening and joining the World Serpant.

There's a part of this where his past self and him intertwined hands. Is it just me or it resembles that famous painting (forgot the name) about man receiving wisdom from God. It's like this ”wisdom” for him is his ambition or desire to change his life and believe that it isn't the end and that formed his vision. Edit: The painting's name is ”Creation of Adam” by Michaelangelo.

can we take a moment to appreciate the voice acting from 1:37 - 1:55 ? I think Scara’s va is my favorite. he did so good and I genuinely felt pain from that voice acting

I like how when Rana, a random NPC, gained a vision, the traveller cheered and congratulated her. But when Scara, a playable character, gained a vision, the traveller was just "Okay, cool bro". Even Nahida didn't say something when he got a vision. 🤣
