Yelan having survivors guilt for being the only one of her original team to survive Vs Xiao who is fully willing to die to save everyone made it more impactful. Once you know Yelan's story, you'll actually see all their interactions in a more weighted light

i think raiden's second story quest when ei says goodbye to raiden makoto for the last time deserved a spot or atleast an honorable mention in this list. That cutscene went from full of adrenaline to very sad real quick. that emotional rollercoaster deserved a spot in this list

Focalor's sacrifice was the most memorable in my opinion; every aspect fits perfectly, and it becomes even more emotional when immersed in the lore.

Totally agree. It is the only scene in Genshin Impact that made me cry. I went through the entire story of Fontaine in several hours and when it come to that point it is so immersive and emotional. In my opinion, the story of Fontaine is the best story in Genshin Impact by far, and the death of Focalors is defintely one of the most important contributors.

Gosh I cried again when Geo daddy came to Xiao.. really powerful scene! Still having goosebumps no matter how many times I watch it >

The thing about no. 1.. its not just because xiao's sacrifice.. yelan skill and burst nailed it! Also the tense of shadows dark souls thingy.. itto faint and hold by kuki makes the scene more in tense state.. also shows just how strong and care of morax Yeah this scene deserve no 1 spot

Completely agree. Unlike other cutscenes, the tense situation is happening all the time, and all (almost) are completely active, and all active ones can be seen fighting unlike the resistance vs shogunate, who has an army in fight, but 2-3 are having viewer’s attention (and this cutscene shows us many characters’ abilities and how strong they are, not only in playable versions), so chasm escape cutscene will be my best (for now)

omg yes, I still remember when Nahida took the gnosis, scaramouche just fell on the ground from a great height, and Traveler, nor Nahida cared about it, it's so sad for him

Shenhe vs. Vortex Avenger and Childe vs. narwhal were the best Cutscenes but Nahida's farewell to Rukkhadevata was very good, too

It’s split-second, but I liked how you can see Signora’s head getting sliced clean off! Hoyoverse (in my opinion) did a PHENOMENAL job with all the cutscenes in the game :)

I'm pretty sure that's her catalyst thing floating next to her, not her head. Her head appears to be intact still. I doubt Hoyo would do something like that (though if they did that would be interesting to see)

I started crying when i saw Xiao's sacrifice

focalors' sacrifice has gotta be my #1, the only one where i actually cried

The scene in Fontaine when the water flooded and Neuvilette had to be called by the Traveler, to control and lock up the water temporarily.

dude the one where xiao sacrificed himself to save everybody else made me cry, hes one of my favorite characters for that very reason which is why im gonna try my best to get him on his next rerun

I think Nilou’s dance, the Rukkadavata cutscene and the Fontaine flood should be here in the top 15

Focalors' death cutscene is easily the best for me. The meaning behind it, the emotions, everything just hits you. Its the only cutscene that made me cry.

Shenhe's cutscene is still my favorite of them all!

One of your top pics that I agree with is definitely Focalors final dance, it has so much meaning and is that one cutscene that no player will ever forget, amazing choices and great video!

I do love ShenHe scene - the Traveler did nothing to help and Ninguang shows a bit more of her real power (7 star/Geo Archon) 😂

we could have died we tried to get Beisht and we straight up got straight up Kamehad into the side of a small mountain

My favourite and together on the first place: - Xiao's sacrifice - Scene about Xiao's comrades - Ei's story and her farewell to Makoto - Scene Kazuha against Raiden and when Raiden takes out her sword - Albedo's story and the battle - Focalors' execution - Furina's story and her performance in the theater with "La vaquelette" and getting her Vision - Scaramouche's story, getting him Vision and scene when he screams, while Nahida rips out the Gnosis from him.

The stopping the primordial sea water cutscene is so good

People who played GI after 2.7 can never fathom the power of Xiao's cutscene. It was the first time HYV introduced close-to-death scenario to a playable character. It was a major upheaval in the game storyline and players may notice from then on storyline gets more and more tragic everyday. Although Focalors farewell is sad, it's predictable for old player since this kind of build-up has been set up long since Xiao's one.

I was hoping the cutscene after the 1st Raiden fight where Thoma saves the traveller and flees would be included in "Travelller saving thoma's vision" because the desperate look on Thoma's face as he struggles to free himself in time has always stuck with me. It's the reason I put extra effort into maxxing out Thoma so I can still keep him in my party as often possible. 🥰

Ngl focalors’ death scene was my absolute favorite so far and maybe second favorite the cutscenes where Wriothesley, Clorinde, and Neuvillette stopped the… uh… primadorial? Anyways the primadorial waters from bursting forth.

I was expecting at least a top 5 for Xiao's cutscene, but I'm so glad you gave it the number #1 spot ❤ The animation, the soundtrack, the emotions, the dark souls surrounding them and Yelan and Yanfei using their powers to keep everyone safe and Xiao's sacrifice at the end 😭 It's definitely my favourite cutscene too 🥰
