I’ve had this ppk/s .22 for several years, and I love the look, feel, and heft of this gun. However, it’s the most unreliable gun that I own. Misfeeds, misfires, stovepipes, you name it and this gun has been there. I’ve tried all the different CCI ammo, Federal, etc. all with the same unreliable result. The ammo that I found that works best is Remington Thunderbolts. It’s loud, dirty, and cheap, but it works with the fewest misfires. One advantage is I’m teaching my granddaughter how to shoot and part of that training is how to handle misfires. This gun doesn’t disappoint in that area. Good video.

Awesome review of this gun, and I feel like you eloquently summed it all up. They have fallen off the map a bit, but they're cool little guns. I've had mine for a little over 10 years at this point. It has thousands of rounds through it and everyone who's ever shot it loves it. I haven't replaced the recoil spring or had any issues. Once suppressed the ammo pickiness is almost non existent. Because of the aesthetic something like a sparrow or outback suppressor looks so good on these, and they're an economical options as well. The finish on my grip is almost completely gone but gun will cycle suppressed even if it's filthy and you can feel the grit as you work the slide. Of course this is just my experience and subjective opinion on the matter. Again Great vid sir. Keep up the good work.

I have one and like it a lot. I had an issue with it a couple of weeks ago. I think I got some bad ammo from Winchester Super X and I can't prove it was the ammo but it blew the extractor out. I sent it back to Walther and they have rebuilt the pistol. They did an awesome job. I am going to go test it tomorrow. I hope it goes well. Before the issue it was a great shooter, accurate and liked all ammo except federal bulk white box. And also now Winchester Super X. Recently the only ammo I buy now is CCI and Aguila. I will do Remington sometimes but mostly the previous two. I am really hoping it goes well tomorrow.

It’s funny you mentioned the Winchester super X I had a .22 Luger that really didn’t like it and they ended up getting stuck in the chamber a bunch. Hopefully Walther got you fixed up right they seem to be pretty much on the ball.

My ex-wife had a plate in her arm and was very recoil sensitive. I bought her one of these and she LOVED it. She probably put 2,000 rounds through hers while we were married and it shot great. It definitely prefers CCI Mini-Mags. So far as I know it's still her carry gun and man do I miss that Walther. ;) I have 2 PPK pistols but really wanna get another one of these in .22 as they are just so much fun.

I think the Walther PPK and PPKs are the best guns ever made. Awesome history behind it. I had the .380 version a number of years ago. Sold it because of financial problems. I now have the PPKs .22 version in nickel. Hell of a lot of fun to shoot, and I don’t have to break the bank doing so. I, and I’m sure most users, got into the PPK/s years ago because of, who else, James Bond. After getting my first one, I fell in love with it. That’s the only hand gun I use, and will ever use. Long live the Walther PPK and PPKs. Yeah, I’m a huge fan boy. 😂

I have one flawless with cci stingers so that’s my carry ammo. Plinking it does ok with federal bulk but it does hang up once in a while but not bad.

Yo take such and iconic pistol and build it out of substandard materials is a slap in the face to one of the first pocket size double actions with a patented safty decocker if the true walther company instead of umerex had made it this would have been a classic to pass on thrue generations like they where in the begging the ppq is 3 times the gun for the same money and the ppq will fire almost anything shame.
