I love how they portray how hardy cockroaches actually are. They’re so adorable

3:04 the way walle just goes “ru-ah!” Is fucking adorable

I read online that the sound Hal makes while crawling around was done by locking and unlocking handcuffs. I don't know for sure if it really sounds like handcuffs. Though it does sound metallic. I'll say that.

I originally thought that, too. But EVE’s mission was to find vegetation (her name means Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator), not animals... plus a fair share of adaptable and resilient animals that benefit from urbanization such as pigeons, rats, and plenty of other bugs would’ve still lived around that city rather than just that cockroach :P

Humans can't live off of cockroaches. They sent Eve to look for signs that human life could restart on earth. A plant would mean that earth is habitable again, the soil is revitalized, and is ready for agriculture. We need trees for oxygen and they need us for carbon dioxide. A cockroach, as you saw, was living off of ancient twinkies that never expired in an apocalyptic world. We need much more than that.

Hal the roach abilities: high intelligence (for a cockroach), invulnerability, possible immortality (as he seems to have survived for 700 years when normally most roaches barely see 3 years)

I call him the invincible crockroch😭🤘

Well that’s the difference between organic and artificial beings, where’s we have to find the exact types for our unique bodies and sizes, carbon copied units all share the same parts and are interchangeable, to WALL•E this is basically using his relatives parts as a last resort since they’re not helpful for much else
