Walking up to Ten Acre Field from Worzel Gummidge

Celebrating the special 40th Anniversary of the Original Television Series of "Worzel Gummidge" which starred the brilliant Jon Pertwee as the lovable Worzel Gummidge and the marvellous Una Stubbs as Aunt Sally with the fantastic Geoffrey Bayldon as the mysterious Crowman.
Worzel Gummidge started as a novel by Barbara Euphan Todd and years later became the delightful Television Programme which starred the former Doctor Who actor Jon Pertwee as the lovable scarecrow who walked the Hampshire countryside causing mischief with his friend Aunt Sally, played by the marvellous Una Stubbs. In this video, we take the long walk up the beautiful Furzedown Road and visit the famous filming location for Ten-Acre Field in Romsey, Hampshire which is a truly beautiful and magical place. The show was filmed here from 1979 to 1981 and also starred Geoffrey Bayldon as the mysterious Crowman and Charlotte Coleman and Jeremy Austin as John and Sue with Mike Berry as Mr Peters and Joan Sims as Mrs Bloomsbury-Barton with guest appearances from Barbara Windsor, Bernard Cribbins, Lorraine Chase and many other wonderful stars.
