I am in my fifties and still love Worzel. It is nice to see the actors again especially his majesty the all mighty Mr Crowman.
Worzel Gummidge reminds me of the hazy long summers of my childhood.

The greatest children’s programme of them all. So many happy memories watching this. Saw Worzel at the Cambridge theatre in the 80s.

Yes totally agree it will never ever age cant say enough things about it I am just as keen to watch them now as i did as a kid Settings surroundings the era the way it was filmed the cast jon pertwee best acting period if there is one character that only one person can do this is it. BLOODY FLAWLESS Amazing show and the best kids show in tv history in my opinion
I think Worzel kept me alive during a terrible childhood.
RIP Charlotte Coleman
The most wonderfull escape from reality,im nearly 60 and love this stuff as much now as I did back then.
I'm only 17, and my mum and aunties were about 10-17 when Worzel was on TV. They were lucky enough to be extras in some of the episodes, because they lived in the area and were in the church choir. I spent many hours sitting with my mum and brother watching the episodes again and again. Each time my mum would point out herself, her sisters and other extras from the village who she is still friends with now. She can be seen standing to the left of Jon and Sue in the opening scene of 'a cup of tea and a slice of cake'. Worzel is so valuable in my life, and I hope that generations to come will get the same joy from it that my mum, aunties, my brother and myself get.

Me too, Geoffrey seemed such a gentle man. My late grandad was very similar.
I watch "The Scarecrow Hop" over and over. It is absolutely magical and wonderful. Jon Pertwee is an absolute joy to watch as Worzel Gummidge, Fantastic. 💜🧡💛 🇦🇺
As a kid Worzel scared me when he changed his heads and he was bullied horribly by Aunt Sally so you had to warm to him. Aunt Sally was much meaner then I remembered re-watching them now. She took every advantage of him and only made exceptions of friendship when it meant she could get something out of him which was sad because Worzel was in love with her which was a really cruel indifference from Aunt Sally as Worzel wasn't smart enough to think any deeper than his feelings. The two characters were so well done it was always a believable and flawless a performance. Great memories that can't be beaten.
Makes me cry.. why do we have to get old...?
Sweet innocent and perfect what childhood memories made of...happy days!
I hope there are tonnes of bloopers on the dvd, can't imagine not cracking up looking at Jon Pertwee, constantly hilarious, not just the makeup or the script, that was all good too!
I still love this series ,, it’s so English ,, makes me feel all warm inside
❤❤❤❤❤ I was born during the making of this tv series 1979 I remember watching this back In 1980s itv showed them all again I loved it and late Jon Pertwee no one else can play that part like he does big thumbs up from me 👍👍
RIP Charlotte, Geoffrey and Jon
Oh my god - Wolfgang! @ 3:16. This man was a photographical genius and he was a part of my family since before I was born. This is bringing back so many memories of being on set as a kid.
Tears in my eyes
Really struck a chord with me this when I was a kid , absolutely loved it
Not long watched the dvd, very very touching to see the crowman standing in ten acre field. How odd with the Lorraine Chase interview, a crow started making a noise. RIP Charlotte and Mr Hedgerow Gummidge and Thank you.
John Pertwee was genius at worzel. God rest his soul. And all the other cast that are sadly no longer with us. RIP. 👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯👍👍💯💯👍👍💯💯
Wozel and Jon Pertwee well never has be another fine actor that could bring this character to life it was a kid's show but it wasn't just for kid's anyone who watch Jon as the man of straw and a trunip for a head or many heads one of which was a dandy and travelled in time oops wrong head on there thought Wozel was the doctor but who cares Jon Pertwee was a brilliant actor and human being loved by the fans of both the shows and will have fond memories of the original and visually funny man who made you seat up and hide behind the sofa as the time lord and laugh at the funny Straw man Wozel Gummidge! Thank you so much for everything Jon Pertwee
I love worzel, it doesn't get enough credit for its comedy! My favourite episode is 'the crow man' hilarious!
brings me back. t.v. was so good then worzel was magical ☺
I grew up watching Worzel, used to make scarecrows at my grandparents' place. Still have Worzel books, DVDs and VHS. Magical

@@stevestocker8467 yes i the same I would never miss an episode I liked a few tv shows as a kid but this was truly special my number one by far it drew you in like no other Marmalade atkins where good as well and the main star marmalade is the little girl in worzel gummidge the late charlotte coleman But worzel gummidge smashed all my favourites back massively And truly deserved
its 2017 i am 30 years old and when i was little i watched worzel gummidge, after some time i forgot about it, and then not longer than couple or few years ago i remembered and bought every episode and love them still,
I grew up watching Worzel i worshipped him lol Collected all his merchandise and videos i do have a dvd box set however I’ve just started watching him again on KZread didn’t realise you could watch the full episodes. ❤
Used to watch the Videos with mum when I was little. Now just bought the boxset and loving it all over again
How wonderful to see the cast in the present day & footage of Jon. It must have been so special to work on the programme. I loved it. Didn't think much of the updated versions. Seeing Geoffrey & Jeremy chatting put me in mind of my late grandad & me. They seemed close.
Loved watching worzel as a kid love it now on DVD box set
Such a treat to watch, fond memories
Worzel and the earlier Catweazle, both with the late Geoffrey Bayldon, were two slices of pure creamy English folk charm which I feel privileged to have grown up with...and I'm 60.
This series is truly brilliant to watch it always has been and always still will be for me.
Worzel gummidge made my childhood a very happy one.thankyou..xxx
I am 42 and Worzel still scares the crap out of me.

I used to go to the Saterday morning picture show in Nottingham. it was 50p from 9am till 1pm Movies cartoons and comedy, . it was always packed and was the best saterday i will ever have. Worzel and Aunt sally are a memory i will never forget. God bless.
Didn't even know this existed, definitely buying it!!
Aunt sally worzel gimmidgge ..... best relationship in tv history ❤️ cast best in history 👌👌👌👌 even my ten year old Pollyanna loves it 2020 ❤️🥰😘🇬🇧
I've shown my three young children this magical tv show with Worzel, Aunt Sally and the two children. This was a fabulous hit in the seventies. All my kids adored this show, even though Worzel wasn't always PC by today's standards and neither was aunt Sally. I doubt whether the show would be aired on British children's tv. I recall in one episode Worzel shouting out to some men that were fishing 'wankers' - this can be found on KZread. You would obviously not see this funny episode today. Regardless of this the show was brilliant and the recent ressurection sadly doesn't stand tall next to Pertwee's brilliant actings skills.

WOOOOOOOOOOORZAAAL :D Fantastic, remember watching all the series live from 79 to 81 lol
I really hope generations of today and future generations will get to know about this series I hope they don’t miss out on it.
People still say I've gotta put my thinking head on and what have you and that's a reference to Worzel 😂😂😂
God bless Jon Pertwee and rest in peace👼
The pub in series, 'bear and ragged staff' still exists; near Romsey, Hampshire. A pic of Worzel on the wall as a tribute..
Thank you so much for this, brilliant ❤👍
Surely the only person who could play Worzel is Sean Pertwee? Bet he does a great impression.
In my heart ❤️ always
Does anyone remember Charlotte also playing the tear away marmalade Atkins 😂 bless her she was a brilliant actor ❤
I loved worzel and now my 7yr old loves him as I bought the box set but I have to say I had a bad experience with worzel at the Liverpool international garden festival around opening day in 1984 . They hired worzel to cycle around on his bike so me seing worzel as a 10 yr old was a dream come true but as myself and my friends ran after him he kept turning around swearing f##k off !

Top premiership childrens show!
Catweazle and Worzel ... two of the best series ever.
god I need this dvd
great creation
I’m working in kings Somborne where most of this was filmed.. the crow man Geoffrey Bayldon was the prison governor in the Porridge movie
In 1963, Geoffrey Bayldon was offered the role of Doctor Who, he turned it down. As we all know William Hartnell accepted the part as the first doctor.
I just found out about the passing of Charlotte in 2001. Very sad.
For Una Stubbs now, too. RIP dear Lady.
Ive always been in love with Dolly clothes peg

But I need it in US format!
Loved this I'm an 80s kid..always loved this show..scared me a little also..my dad bought me a Wurzel gummage toy which came with 3 interchangable heads...the new Wurzel gummage sites this Xmas 2019..the new Wurzel looks bloody awful unfortunately..guess I'm bias
Absolutely class. Look at the new version with McKenzie crook. Doesn't come nowhere close. Sorry McKenzie. 😀😁😀😁

To be fair, Mackenzie is not looking to recreate what Jon Pertwee did with the character. Nor should he. His is a more 'olde worlde magick and mysterie' take on Worzel. Not having read the original book, I couldn't say which is closer to it, but does that really matter. Just enjoy.
I was terrified of Worzel !!! Much prefer the new one :) Jon Pertwee though, what a cool geezer!!!!
Is it supposed to be £100??? that seems extortionate! I was really looking forward to buying this and seeing the full documentary
the pesonification of innocent times....
Whatever happened to Worzel’s nephew, pickles brambles?
Was going to get this but then discovered it is £100 .....ok, but (even more shocking) absolutely NO interview whatsoever with Una Stubbs!!!!!! What???!!!!
What happened to Charlotte?.
