Walking in Marken 🌞 | The Netherlands - 4K60
Close to Amsterdam lies this traditional quaint fishing village.
Wooden houses are/were common in the North Holland province, but Marken has very much in their own unique architecture because it was cut off from the mainland and once an island in the Zuiderzee.
Enjoy this walk in the labyrinth of tiny streets between the houses surrounded by water 😊

I wish New Amsterdam( New York) still had more of the original architecture there. It is also fascinating history. Marken is lovely!
Netherlands is such an amazing country, I would love to visit again and perhaps even live there. My grandparents were Dutch, they came from Enschede.
