Walking and Camping The Hadrian's Wall Path | A Journey To Remember

The Hadrian's Wall National Trail is a walking route that runs Coast to Coast across the country along the length of Hadrian's mighty wall. You can camp the trail, stay in bunkhouses, or B&B's, depending on your chosen itinerary. In this film my friend Ann and I set out to travel the 86mile length of the trail, experiencing along the way just how harsh life on the wall would have been for the soldiers who operated here. It was an adventure to remember!

Hi Abbie, firstly I need to tell you such a great job to walk all along with the friend ( big hug for Ann) and show us those beautiful pieces of land. Secondly I love watching you because you have an amazing soul and beautiful energy, your attitude is great, again no matter if it is gray or sunshine . I have completed Hadrian's wall like 2 days ago. I was lucky enough , because the weather was so kind to me. Unfortunately I haven't got a chance to see that lovely tree 🌲, because someone stupid lads decided to cut it down 😢😢. Such a shame. Anyway big love and take care ❤💙 Abbie.

hey there, love your videos, you're such a cheerful freckle walking in beautiful landscapes wich is truly inspiring. The more sad to see are the breakdowns you suffer from and it's good that you are so strong not to hide that. To stand up proud again every time needs to take huge energie. Its good to see that's Anna now is by your side, you both are so bright shining when looking to each other. ... Know what, you not even made an old one go hiking in the woods again I will finally go to see a doctor too. Thank you for all these nice videos and your work to support others, really appreciate! Stay strong and wild, but most keep your lovely smile 😊

Thank you for taking us on this journey. I became pretty emotional a few times watching it and hearing your words. I did this hike in 2019 and it was probably one of the most physically and mentally challenging experiences of my life that tested me in a lot of ways. The Corbridge Coffee Company man was the only reason I was able to finish that day. It was horrendous weather and I was feeling so drained and defeated; his kindness, the tea he provided, and him putting my gloves on top of his espresso machine gave me the strength I needed to keep going. It was so cathartic watching this. Thank you Abbie.

Hi Abbie. Watched this late last night into the early hours as I’m hoping on doing the same route but in reverse sometime in the future. I applaud you for not just doing the walk in sometimes really wet conditions but also for taking the time to capture the moments on the way so others can benefit from it also. It’s abundantly clear how passionate you are about hiking and I laughed and smiled along with you with your infectious laughter. Keep doing what your doing and stay safe, Andy.

Ah that was great! I'm with you on the sense of history that accompanies seeing such a monument - we visited part of the wall back in 1999 (!) and really enjoyed it. That rain looked torrential and cold, but seeing the showers so clearly was amazing. Despite walking into the weather I feel that finishing at the Solway Firth is definitely the way to go, rather than in the bustle of the city. Much as I love the mountains of Canada, I have to admit that the long-distance paths of Britain have considerable appeal (although the muddy entrances to fields and walking along the busy roads do not - can't believe the cars don't slow down or even move over to give more space!). Just the ability to don a backpack and simply walk for days across the country, with some well-placed refreshment stops along the way, is hugely appealing. The youth hostel looked amazing!
