The first 72 Mach 1 LS swap! (Not sure if it is but I'm claiming it)
Just a quick walkaround to see what we're working with over here so if you find yourself back here in 5 years you'll know where it all started!
Gen 3 5.3 stock bottom end, Built 4l80e
Circle D 2800 stall, billet front anti ballooning plate.
Weiand Front Sump Oil Pan.
Ford 9 inch spooled.
S&W 10 point Roll cage for 69-73 mustang EWS
Factory sheet metal from various suppliers
Volvo Electric power steering.
C6 Corvette radiator.
Soon to Buy/build, TURBSKI, build Turbo kit, make Fuel lines, Holley Terminator X, Driveshaft, Chute mount, Drag pack, Passenger seat etc. Still have a ways to go but we sure have come a long way with it and will continue to keep going!

Mach 1 is mine and the blue grande is my dad's and we want to get started on some of the sheet metal this summer

Interestingly enough, the 73 Grande needs about the same sheet metal work that my son put into the Mach 1. So we got good practice. As for the engine in the Grande, this Mach 1 has a numbers matching block and transmission (Q code 351 4V). We plan to rebuild and install this motor in the Grande so the motor has a place to be exercised and kept fresh instead of rusting away in a shed. The idea is these 2 cars will never be separated, one for racing one for cruising.
Can you explain the motor mount situation I was thinking of doing the same to my mach 1

Can you show us the custom motor mounts? I got a 73 I want to do this swap on.
