They both are the reason we even got to the World Cup in the first place, 9 saves v Ukraine and Ben Davies made very important tackles and blocks on the way there

I wasn't even expecting us to score a goal in that tournament let alone getting to the semi finals. Best month ever. So many insane emotions.

That loss hurt us really bad in Belgium, I can tell you that ;-) But Wales deserved to go through 100%. Bale destroyed our defenders the whole game.

Joe Allen and Aaron Ramsey's performances in this Euro's were so key. Ramsey's yellow suspension from the Belgium game was what killed our momentum for the Portugal game.

As an American with no real investment in the Euros, I so badly wanted Wales to win this tournament. Such a magical run.

Bale was outstanding, in qualifications he seemed like a man possessed , EVERY time he come to Wales rescue , . And he was phenomenal in tournament , in semi final the loss of Ben Davies and Ramsey in semi proved vital , as in all honesty , they were only other Welsh players who could be called decent ...Bale played heroically in semi but had nobody as back up to assist him ....his patriotism cost him a lot of fans at madrid ...BUT if anybody outside of madrid said they wouldnt like a player giving his all for his country id call them a liar . Been to many Wales games ,and Bale best ive seen in red shirt , maybe John Charles a match for him , but never seen him playb

Wales were exceptional this tournament and were fun to watch

I can remember people criticising the Slovakia free kick saying the keeper botched it. None of them have ever faced a Gareth Bale free kick and it shows. The pace and dip he can get on a ball is deceptive to the naked eye. Just ask the England keeper. What a great summer that was. My only good memory of 2016. I went from never seeing Wales at a tournament finals ever to being a little disappointed with our tactics against Portugal in a Euro Semi Final, but we ran out of puff 😔, however gone are the days where we don't really have international standard players as a bench option (remember we threw on Simon Church against Portugal). Now our squad has depth and football is taking over rugby as our favourite sport. Waited a LONG time but finally being a Welsh football fan is fun. All it took was a lad from Whitchurch with a left foot inherited from Merlin himself
