    Hello Pete. It’s a cracking gun, adjustability on it is fantastic, I find it tweaks down (fan/fluid/pressure) better then the dv1s. Finish wise, I find it better then the dv1s. I use both the 190HTE and dv1s regularly and find I always prefer grabbing the 190HTE All in the 1.2 setup. If I had only one choice of purchase, I’d probably buy the 190HTE TBH. The LPH 80’s as you mention are fantastic for small stuff as it sprays small, that being said, I can use the ego 190 tweaking down the controls for an exact match and performance of the lph80, in fact probably better and a much universal gun. Great work again on the reviews Pete… keep them coming 👍

    Hi buddy, I agree, it is a very good mini spray gun and a great universal gun compared to the DV1s, the lack of fan adjustable was something i pointed out on the DV1s but i still think the DV1s S1 1.2 atomises finer than the 1.2 HTE Ego, there's not much in it and maybe it's just me as these things are personal, thanks for taking the time to comment as it's good for others to see, cheers mate 👍

    Hey Pete, that was a very interesting review mate as you was mainly comparing it to the DV1S and I have to agree that it looks a better gun overall, it's obviously faster when laying clear but you say the DV1S atomizes the clear better so I'm wondering if that is why the DV1S is a slower gun as it has to work harder to atomize the clear making it a slower gun, that is probably due to the design of the aircap. I have to say I do like the look of the little 190 but like all the other carbon fibre Walcom's I'm wondering if it will look as clean and tidy after a lot of use as I've seen a lot of these guns that look old before there time due to the finish but as you say you can't knock the finish you get from it, nice job on the tanks Pete 🙏👍

    Hi John, you could be right, I think as there is less material coming out the droplets are finer which makes it slower to wet the panel, having said that it's possible to dial down the fluid to give similar results to the DV1s but I don't like doing that as the pattern doesn't seem as consistent, this applies to most spray guns but many people do i know especially if you only have one gun so maybe I'm a bit spoilt by having so many to use I have to say you are definitely right when you say they don't wear as well as some, the carbon picks up every little mark, only on the surface but very noticeable compared to others, cheers buddy 👍

    The way the body of the gun marks is only a small gripe I suppose but I like to see my guns on my rack looking nice and clean but that's just me, at the end of the day it's the results that matter and I can see that the 190 is faster than the DV1S. Oh my tank is up on my IG page Pete, came out looking quite clean seeing it's done in black 😎👍

    Hello Pete , the Ego 190 does look like a great mini gun , although I would have thought you’d say the DV1S would be better value for having two tip sizes over two pots of the Ego , must admit you got a beautiful result there , but for that price I have other guns on my list which are a bigger priority

    Hi Roger, Yeah, the better value would certainly be in the eye of the beholder, for me the cups and the gauge swing it , I guess it's down to the fact i only use the 1.2 on the DV1S given the choice, hope alls well mate 👍

    Been waiting so long for this video! Very detailed video. Thank you sir pete! I have one question tho, I hope you notice me and give me answers haha! How do you compare the air consumption of DV1s S1 Aircap vs ego 190? Which one eats more air? Because when i checked their tds, ego 190 has the higher cfm requirement than the dv1s. I am planning to get this ego 190 but quite afraid bec of my air compressor isnt that big.

  • @peteshobbies5383

    @peteshobbies5383

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks James, it's a very good question, the Ego definitely uses more air, I would guess around 20 to 25% more with the HTE cap v the S1 cap on the DV1s so you are better going for the DV1s if air is limited although by spray gun standards neither uses loads of air, they are both cracking sprayguns so i don't think you will be disappointed 👍

    My compressor only has 88 liters of air in the tank 2 horse power and around 10cfm i guess? Would it be enough? I had sata jet 4400 b rp 1.2 before but i sold it after using it once bec my compressor runs all the time even after spraying small motorcycle fairings and my pressure keeps going down. If the air consumption levels to sata 4400 rp 1.2 maybe ego 190 doesnt fit my compressor for now haha. Anyways, great video always sir pete! I appreciate all your video very informative and very detailed. I hope to see more videos of this EGO 190

  • @peteshobbies5383

    @peteshobbies5383

    2 жыл бұрын

    @James Manalad Hi James, the Sata uses about the same amount of air as the Ego , I would have thought 88 litres and 10cfm would be enough to run the Sata, do you regulate the pressure down before it gets to the regulator on the gun?, this should give you a more controlled consistent pressure even if the compressor is going a lot of the time

  • @JMSVV

    @JMSVV

    2 жыл бұрын

    That time no, I've had the sata first before having the regulator on the wall. But the maximum psi i can run on sata is 35-37 only even at full tank and fully open on every gauge. Maybe i should stay on dv1s you think? 🤔

  • @peteshobbies5383

    @peteshobbies5383

    2 жыл бұрын

    @James Manalad I'm a bit puzzled as to why you can only get 35 or so PSI with everything open, yes it may go down as you use it but i would have thought you would have got more than that at first, I used to run the Sata off a 50lt compressor, it was 14.5cfm but it would run the Sata for a continuous 30 or so seconds before the compressor would kick in and you could get 60 psi at the gun if you wanted, the DV1s with S1 cap uses a fair bit less air which should help, it's really good just a bit slow imo, you can get fantastic finishes with it

    Your problem will be lack of material coming out and the temperature, this will give you orange peel. I'll put a link at the end of this message to a video that shows how much faster the clear will flow when it's warmed up, this together with using the gun on full fluid should give you better results, obviously your speed and distance will also make a difference , kzread.info/dash/bejne/iIZ3qdhvgtvdYbQ.html

    Hi Ionita, for me the Devilbiss DV1s is better than the Walcom Ego, it atomises finer and is made very well, the Ego is good but not quite as good, it also depends where you live as if the Walcom is cheaper by a reasonable amount then you are better going with that, but if price is the same the Devilbiss is better 👍
