I use to run all Walcom guns and an ego 190 0.7mm hte for cerakote that got used constantly since a lot of my business is cerakoting firearms. It lasted one year thats it. Worked great until it started leaking air and the rebuild kit wouldn't fix it. I switched all my guns over to Devilbiss DV1 and a DV1s 0.7mm/0.9mm for cerakote and like those dv1 guns so much better. Finer atomization, less air pressure and so much less overspray and my 360 Walcoms were even hte

Hi William, I haven't had problems with my Walcoms, but I do suspect that's because I don't use then that much, I'm painting most of the time but have a huge amount to choose from. The DV1 series is a good solid tool. I particularly like the DV1S , as you say, they really are very fine atomisation and should be reliable. cheers buddy, I appreciate the comments 👍

You mentioned that the clears don’t do the guns any favors, that’s good, shows how well the guns perform. Thank you, keep ‘em coming

Hi Bryan, Yes, it's a cheap Upol clear coat , I doesn't flow out like many of the better clears so is harder to obtain a flat finish. I obviously think like you as I agree it shows the guns can perform even if materials aren't so willing, Thanks for watching

Hi Mate, they are a good tool especially for smart repairs, they spray really fine so make blending areas much easier particularly on silvers where you can just edge it out nicely. I was talking to a chap the other day and he was saying he prefers his Sata minijet, when I asked a bit more he was doing mainy bigger areas with it and the DV1s was too slow, in cases like that the Walcom would be better but if you have a resonable bit to do most would use a full size gun. Cheers buddy and thank you

Hi Pete, a very very good comparison as both guns are the top of the range from both manufactures, I've always been on the fence with the/any Walcom gun as I can't get past the look of them, they just look cheap and plasticky which was confirmed when I won the Slim Kombat but don't get me wrong as it sprays fine but I feel like I'm using a toy spray gun🤔 You can see in the video that both guns give a great finish so either gun would probably be fine if you are looking for a high quality mini gun but for me the DV1S is the gun to go for as it's nice to hold and use, I can tell in the video that the DV1S is slower than the 190 but IMO it's a small price to pay, sorry to all Walcom fans but I'm just a Devilbiss fanboy😁😅 Great video mate and both tanks look superb👌👍

Hi John, I like the Walcom range especially the Carbon 360 HTE and the Ego isn't bad, there are cases in which it is better and may be as an all rounder for some, but the DV1S has definitely got something above the Walcom when it comes to atomisation, cheers mate
