    Hi There. Just found this video leading on from the R500/A610 comparison. Love the detail you go into, great video. Just bought one based on what I've seen here. Just hobby use so can't spend money on kiwami, which i would love. Many thanks for your efforts. As a side note, I've been using a R500 which i found awful! Your video explaining the real CFM of this gun i think explains it. Bigger compressor output purchased now.

    Hi Dominic, Good to hear you found the video. This is a pretty new gun, so there's not much about it, but I think you'll find it much better than the R500. The R500 needs around 2.5 bar, so 36psi for a clear coat, and at that, it's up around 8 to 9 cfm, much more than is advertised. You can normally get reasonable results with them, but if your compressor is struggling, you may find the pressure drops, which will cause loads of problems, that's where diaphragm regulators come into their own. Good to hear you found us anyway, I'm a bit of an eccentric but takes all sorts to make a world, right 😂 , cheers mate 👍

    Nice finish my friend, the guns should last a reasonable amount of time. As you mentioned, value for money, for $100 bucks, if it lasts even five years with a moderate amount of use, should be worth it. Cheers

    I a retied auto refinisher started at 14 doing motorcycles and is were I got my love of spray painting from, it did teach me the basics and when I was 16 got a apprenticeship as furniture polisher ie spray paint furniture which is where I got my indenturers at 21, I got a job as auto refinisher (glorified spray painter) and worked their till a motorcycle accident 2014 when I retied due to breaking my back at 54. I now make guitars and do the odd respray, I've been buying spray guns since I now have about 25 of them and as many again I use for parts but some are over 30yo and wearing out, i use about 10-15 at the same time for different colors so I don't haft to clean 1 out after each process, I do a lot of Candy and nitro, acrylic and 2k clear MS & HS I'm now buying guns to see what Good and cheap then ill buy 5 or 6 of the best one I just got a NVE and a R500 and I've got a Saigaole 6800 still on the way. I use to be a spray gun snob but After testing the NVE and the R500 I must say I'm very impressed with them both the R500 is a great primer and acrylic gun doesn't use a lot of air, the NVE blew me away at how can a $70 spray gun spray as Good as it does and atm is the front runner but ill wait to see what the 6800 is like as I got it for just $45, I will buy a couple of R500's but I will buy 5--6 NVE's pending on the 6800 is like as I've heard really good things about it, the R500 cost me $35 I can buy 10 NVE's less than a SATA or Devilbiss and get just as good results I thank you Pete as I wouldn't have know anything about them and would have wasted thousands on a few SATA, Devilbiss, or even IWATA, what your doing is needed to get the word out about them while you do some strange things like microwaving your paint lol but I guess your in the UK wheres always cold, but you don't haft to be indentured to spray paint. I know a Young Black guy who's self tort and he's 1 of the best I ever seen thanx again buddy👌

    Hi Mate, That's some time to be in the business. Hat's off to you, sir 👍 Yeah, in the UK, 70f is a heatwave 😂 so most of the time, we are in less than ideal conditions. You say you're now into guitars, it surprised me how many people that watch this channel are guitar finishers, something I never thought of, I keep meaning to pick a few old ones up and experiment with then, would be a chance to see how I would get on I guess. Thanks for the kind words, buddy. I'm always looking for something that works well but isn't expensive and finding some little gems on the way, its good to hear you're enjoying them as I genuinely enjoy making them, take care mate 👍

    Hi Pete, a very enjoyable video mate as you know I love your vids so please keep making them👌🙏once again you have another great gun in your hands which again has made me want to get one😁I've just decided which gun to get next then you go and throw this into the mix🤔🤪😂 The finish from the Dram is spot on mate even the basecoat went on as good as most guns and I could tell that the clearcoat went on with very little peel, I'll add this gun to my ever growing list of guns I want (not need🙄). I take it you have seen that the new Multi Mix UHS clear is now available, this will be an interesting clear as it's a single visit but still giving a good build, the downside is there isn't any sample or small kits available🤦‍♂ Thanks again Pete👍

    Hi John, This is a fairly new gun. In fact, I don't think there are any reviews of it on KZread, mainly because no one has heard of it 😜. It's very good and only around 88 USD at the moment, I suspect it's out the Avalon factory in Taiwan, but I can't be sure. Yes, I've seen the Multi Mix C4. I haven't looked into it yet as I still use different clears up. A one stage clear should make it easier to use, there's a few clears like that but I haven't used any of them yet, are you getting some ? Cheers mate 👍

    Hi Pete, yeah I had a feeling it was new to the market even though it's made in Taiwan it does look good quality but I think my Fuji was made there as well so they seem to turn out good guns but not as good ad Japan seems to👍 The MMC4 does seem to be good clear but I'm wondering how well it will cure without a bake cycle, I'm hoping to try it mate but it's a bit pricy if it's not suitable for the likes of us, I did ask Jordan if it would be ok but as usual he didn't reply to my comment on his group🙄🤦‍♂👍

    @JohnWD40TC02 Hi John, Yes, the Fuji is made in Taiwan, and that's also well made, so hopefully, this Dram will last a while 😀 It's not good form to launch a product and not answer questions, especially as through your Instagram account, you publicise the product. It will be fine to air dry. It will probably take longer, but I can't see why it wouldn't cure. Cheers, John 👍

    You're making me happy this weekend, Pete! 😂 I didn't expect you to review it so quickly, but I am glad you did. I haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet, but it appears it definitely was a good buy. The overspray did seem a bit more than say a LPH400, but nothing too excessive compared to a conventional tip gun spraying a HS clear. Metallic basecoat looked to lay nice with the extra atomization without you having to do a drop coat. At least I don't think I saw you do one. That's great. When you heat up the Upol, does the viscosity come down to a medium solids level? Just curious for comparison as that's what I use sometimes. I have both MS & HS in Upol to play with.. I'll be testing both soon. Keep up the great videos & reviews!

    Hi Boss, I've hardly ever used any MS clears, so I'm not sure if the heated Upol would be equal 🤔. It's certainly a good gun, obviously I'm not sure on longevity but I'm not expecting any problems, I go this out quickly as I've had many messages on Instagram asking about it, to be honest, it's a bit af a find 😀 Let us know how you get on with your when you get a chance 👍

    Thank for another great video. One question I have…after watching your video on regulators, I picked up the Meji like the one you are using. I noticed that you don’t lock it down after you adjust it. Since I’m new to these, is it not necessary or are you just that good at not screwing it up? Thanks bud. Always enjoy

    Hi Scott, they are lovely little regulators, aren't they 😀 I always used to lock it, but I've since found it doesn't move anyway, so it isn't needed, I guess if your hand or arm is often coming in contact with the adjuster then it's worth locking it, but certainly for me the pressure doesn't change, cheers mate 👍

    Have you noticed any difference between the Iwata tulips spit tips like the lph400 lvx that has 4 cuts outs in the tip as opposed to the 3 cut out like in the Kawami 3 ?

  • @peteshobbies5383

    @peteshobbies5383

    22 күн бұрын

    HI mate, someone asked exactly the same thing in the comments. Normally, the 3 splits run faster, which makes sense as the split tips definitely slow guns down. It's why I know some put a 3 split in their LPH400 to speed it up. Also, a 4 split can often be used at lower pressures, not always. The WS400, for example, is 4 split tip but runs at 29 psi 👍
