This was total dominance by John Brzenk. But we can't forget how good Marcio is to reach the finals on both left and right arm.

Marcio had the harder road to the finals I think. John had to beat Larratt, and that was a war, but Marcio had several wars.

@@maxxxmodelz4061 John flashed laratt in group stage , then in semi final he decided to allow laratt to do his thing in 1 round and that was long fight ,then he again smoothly finished him. So, there was no war with laratt.

John Brzenk is an absolute living legend. Sure he's lost matches, but the man has cemented his status dominating the sport for over 20+ years beating guys who are much bigger and stronger than he was. No arm wrestler could match his legacy. John is simply the GOAT. Even now at his age John is still a beast. 💪

@@silverfang6455 the thing is John's elbow got injured from the match he had with taras ivakin just before he had the match with Alexy. So he wasn't completely at 100%.

Genetic tools pretty much, wrists and hands made of iron. He got the nickname 'perfect storm' because he is able to adapt his style to fit any situation unlike majority of other armwrestlers who specialise mainly in one style.

Brzenk always did extremely well against Marcio. I think their styles just favor John. His hand cupping was way stronger than Marcio, and if Marcio couldn't get his shoulder into it, he struggled against anyone with a very strong cup.

Love seeing John still getting that rush after so many years 🦾🦾🦾

Marcio had no chance to make this match more exciting, after that match with Ron Bath. Glad they don't do the tournament style like this anymore. Tournaments just add way too many variables, and then also when the matches are split up on youtube, people don't know the context, even more so than usual with injuries and shit.

Older you are, harder it is to compete in a tournament like that, literally your muscles get sore faster and you don't rest as fast as when you are younger. So, that just add up to John Brzenk performance, the oldest in the tournament, yet he destroyed all his opponents...

He smashes his first opponent, whilst the other 2 (in this case Ron and Marcio), have a gruelling war, knowing whoever wins, won't have a chance in hell of beating a lot of people out there, let alone John Brzenk who breezed through his first match. Unfortunate for Marcio, since he needed to be fresh as a daisy to make the match a bit more interesting. We knew Marcio was going to beat Ron, too. He always has, and Ron hates pulling Marcio. But Ron is there to pull.

Well when you are stronger and in control your body parameters are more stable, while if you are redlining to just be in the match your parameters can go very high very quickly

I'm guessing we are not going to get any of John's preliminary matches on the right arm? I know he is a PAL guy now, but you did him kinda dirty by showing all his 3 losses on the left arm. No one else got that treatment. He won all matches on the right arm, but you are only showing us the 2 of them.

HR is heart rate. I'm not sure about G Force though.

I really do think the only person who could carry on the undefined wrist forearm and holding strength Brzenk has is Larrat; even he doesn't have the tripod-like hold Brzenk has. How the hell is this man so strong? And at 57 even after time he still is just basically like, yeah, I'm taking an ass kicking vacation.

After watching this in 2021 again, Brzenk has the true heavyweight hammer. The one Devon gave to Todd was not the true hammer. To top that Brzenk beat Todd in final 2014 and beat Larrett 2015. Now those two are facing. John has nothing to prove but im sure if he did this time the world would take notice.
