Thank you Aditi. Learning from you as well.
I am going through the same pain as you, can truly relate a lot! My previous employer can not do PERM so I had to leave the amazing people and awesome opportunities. Now there seems to be issues with my new company about PERM as well recently. I wish I had joined the new company a little earlier so I don't need to suffer here again. Your story makes me feel calmer about the ups and downs. It's like getting good/bad hands and there is really no way out. Thank you very much for sharing! ♥

Hi Omkar. You have precisely pinpointed the issue. Explained the fact by sharing your own story. Your friendly advice is very much helpfull for those who are in the process of H1B. Keep sharing. You have gone through challenging situations in Life, came out of it courageously with flying colours. And now you are sharing and helping the others , showing various ways to tackle it. You said that "Life in US is a game," and the person who keeps playing eventually WINS at the end There is saying in Sanskrit for this.... चरैवति चरैवति.... Keep moving Keep moving..

iIs been 15 years since I cam to US on F1, with current priority dates I may have to wait atleast 10 more years(its been already 10 years in waiting since i started i140 process) to get my GC. I feel you are still in early phase and have to face many challenges and hurdles. Getting H1B and I140 approved doesn't guarantee anything, especially its even more hard for us(core/non -IT) I have seen people who's 4th or 5th H1B extension got denied even after approved with I140 with the same employer and loosing the job, not able to find a job with in 60 days and even if you find a job, sometimes you may not be able carry forward the same priority date. Its all over from ground zero again Good luck, be consistent and ready to face the challenges !

From personal experience: Since the stress is unbearable, and there is no vertical growth--- the best investment is in one's self. Health, being in nature (nothing better than the US national parks anywhere in the world), travel within the US, travel to India when you can, find spiritual growth, invest in professional development & relationships (family if that is applicable). One great thing I found beneficial is making friends that are not Indian- as the talk would not revert back to the inevitable backlog. With the amazing American diversity we have- it helped me to see (through my work and volunteering) that people have far greater challenges than us- and we are actually blessed (just don't see it from our bubble). Honestly- there are 2 truths. The immigration process is a nightmare. And there is no other country in the world as unique, exceptional and rewarding as the United States of America. I wish you the best.
I took the UK route so this video does not apply to me but randomly came across this video. Though we are on different journeys Your determination and sheer will to succeed has really inspired me. I’m wishing you all the best brother and I have no doubt you will achieve all your dreams

If the probability of getting h1b is 17% so not getting 83%. Not getting picked up three times on a row… probability is 57% and that was data given to you at the start. Still that’s a 43% percent overall chance of getting selected atleast once. Still low but if people can’t handle that look into australia

If there is so much of struggle due to visa issues, why don't you come to India? What's the point of stuggling in US on H1b? Fact to be told, people who filed GC now will never get it. You are painting a picture as if all opportunities are in US and nothing is in India. Why waste life on slavery based visa rather than be independent in India?

@@ImmigrantTalks Hey Omkar, I saw the whole video. You said you are going through all this because of the ambition and the goal that you had while coming to US. So, what's your ambition? Because I'm in US and apart from huge savings, I find nothing worth living in US. No freedom, no side hussles, no to startup ventures, no help for household chores and biggest of all...not near to parents in old age when they need us the most. On the contrary, in India, you get a sense of freedom. All my thoughts are wrt to living on h1b visa in US. GC is out of question for people filing in 2020s. No one will get it in their lifetime. So again, my question remains same...what ambition and goal are people chasing?

@@ImmigrantTalks Got it. Atleast for me, what happened was I was excited about coming here in initial period of time. But it faded away as I started living here. I came to know that apart from savings, I don't have any sense of satisfaction living here on h1b. I think many people are reluctant to go back to India because they have settled here and some even have kids going to American schools. So, they are willing to sacrifice their life for their children.

@@pratikchaudhari2344definitely I agree to your point, any student who goes to US definitely will not foresee all the problems over there unless they land up there, and coming back to India is how to pay back loan taken on their parents house😢, parents really love to receive their boys but who is going to pay back huge loans, I agree that there won't be house maids, that's why even I started telling people not to send to US where there is lot of challenges, hope US government will understand this and help our already landed students
If you are working at SpaceX doing great things, then it might be worth it. Otherwise ambition is completely retarded.

I agree with most of the thing you said but for many people this particular game is impossible to play. I simply don't have money to study in usa. And also some people who studied in usa, what they don't get H1B even after applying 3 times after masters. What are they going to do ?? Unless they find an american to marry they can't win this game. Canada is definitely a much better option. Even studying in canada is not cheap its quite expensive but it offers a lot of other ways to immigrate. The reality is that immigrating from a poor country like india to a any developed country is almost never going to be easy. Its always going to be very very difficult. Those countries make it that way by their laws. I think the best way to immigrate to usa without spending a lot of is by moving to canada and then traveling to usa for making connections and trying to find jobs and eventually marrying an american. That will guarantee green card and also make the process as fast as possible.
