I remember an episode where Garu slowly became disturbed at Pucca's LACK of affection towards him, even becoming a little jealous. Sure, the other guy was a CLONE of him, but that obvious jealousy confirmed to us as the viewers that Garu does indeed feel something towards Pucca, so her advances aren't completely unwanted. Perhaps her being around him so much and showing her loyalty towards him made him feel something for her in return.

I see it more as Garu missing the shenanigans that he was used to rather than reciprocating Pucca's affection. That or I could be biting my tongue and that really was the case, I don't remember much about it

It was…A lot of things lol Looking back at it now, I do find Pucca as a character to be really frustrating (ie. she gets away with a lot of crappy things.) WITH THAT SAID- I know it’s a comedy first. And it *is* true that Garu doesn’t hate Pucca, just finds her to be overwhelming at times. And there are hints that he does reciprocate and those moments *are* cute. So I still enjoy the brand and franchise for its goofy charm

Oh I remember Pucca. It had the Tom and Jerry effect for me. I'd enjoy a lot of it but sometimes poor Garu would just be beset by WAY too much. He doesn't even hate Pucca. He just kinda wants to do his ninja thing uninterrupted. It's not like he's antisocial either considering he's always up for sparring with Abyo and engages in the Sooga villain events of his own accord...most of the time. There was one episode of Pucca where they were both together and Pucca never flirted with him. I think it's the one where they do a parody of Super Sentai. And he has no problem being around her. I always found that interesting.

Pucca has always been my comfort show for me, you're just supposed to laught at the crazy stuff that happens and not think about it too much, and it accomplishes that goal while still not feeling obnoxious. I think a lot of new shows could learn a thing or two from it, not that I have anything against more serious and complex plots in cartoons, but I feel like a lot of the time cartoons nowadays are either trying too hard to be deep and forgetting to be fun, or the opposite and being obnoxiously silly.

I like the CGI version a bit more. I can see Garu actually likes being around Pucca more there than the 2d show. I personally find it weird no one ever seems to be put off by the whole Pucca chasing and kissing Garu thing. I never really interpret it as Garu not knowing how to show his real feelings, more like him just trying to get away from someone who just doesn't take the hint, but can't cause he has taken a vow of silence, for some reason. I guess if Pucca had a overarching story I'll be more into it, like the CGI show brings up Garu's past near the end and I was interested in that, but that's more something I want compare what the show wants to be.

Loved this show as a kid! Every now and then I’ll track down the episodes online and rewatch the series. The Bollywood and the wedding episodes were some of my favs.

I find it funny that the only way I've watched Pucca before was only on angry birds toons where I specifically opened up angry birds star wars and tapped on the toons icon so I could browse whatever was on there without needing to connect to wifi. I actually got really sad when they took away the angry birds toons feature to I think all of the games. I missed rewatching whatever commercials and series that were on there like a pangolin angry birds ad, stella series, bad piggies ad, shawn the sheep, cananimals, pucca, the actual angry birds toons, all of the piggy tales seasons, etc

Since Jetix in Latin America was a standalone channel and not just a block, it got aired a bunch, I absolutely loved it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Man, I LOVE Pucca!! I loved it when I saw my first episode and I felt it just kept getting better! I got way excited when I saw that Netflix created that new season. It was pretty uncomfortable to see them so 3D after years of rewatching, knowing and loving the strictly simplistic 2D style, but they did a pretty great job at capturing the essence of the original!

Whenever I hear this show mentioned it always put a smile on my face. I used to love this show back in the day and had recently discover the netflix season. I would always watch it when I'd see it airing and even watched a few episodes On Demand.

OMG!! I was obsessed with this show as a kid! It aired a lot on Toon Disney, along with Yin Yang Yo, and I'd tune in to both shows every week. It was a fun time

I loved this show growing up. Which is why it really sucks that it's come under fire recently for being 'problematic' along with the likes of chowder and similar relationship dynamics.

You still enjoy the show while also acknowledging how inherently screwed up the "relationship" dynamics are.

@@darryljack6612 that's like acknowledging scooby doo isn't an accurate depiction of criminal investigation. Sure it's true but it's not really something that needed to be said imo. Plus I wasn't really talking about those who do actually enjoy the show anyway. Most of the videos I've seen on the topic are about how shows need to stop using the trope. It's one thing to acknowledge it as an unhealthy realistic relationship, it's another entirely to treat it as a problem with the show itself.

My mom never let me watch Pucca because Jetix, where I live, was like at 9:00 pm, so I never really watched it outside of KZread. As a person who lives smack dab in the middle of a mostly Asian population, Pucca was honestly not a bad time

This takes me back to the early 2000's and 2010's when there were a dozen cartoons with predatory girls assaulting men and playing it off as a "joke" or a "quirk".
