This show, in my opinion, had BY FAR the best versions of The Mandarin and Living Lazer. The former was basically a parallel to Tony. They both lost a parent, had their birthrights basically stolen and misused by someone who should have been their legal guardian and they both have a secret life that they struggle to balance with their normal one. And the latter is just a plain *tragic* villain who feels like he never even got the chance to be a good person, but every time he appears they peel back the layers of his character and make you sympathise with him more.

  • @user-bx8sj6qm3w

Yes exactly! They're both great characters. Whitney was cool as well, wish we got more of her in a 3rd season where she's the main villainess, and Tony being conflicted about fighting her because of his feelings for her and guilt about putting her dad in a coma.

This show also gave the Living Laser one of the best arcs, I friggin loved it. At first he seemed like a one-off villain that died at the end of his episode. But then he comes back to life, and we see how tormented he is mentally from all the abuse he suffered through life and how he wants to be someone important, deciding that would he would be "The guy that killed Iron Man." But then he's captured by SHIELD and seems to be dying, so they call in Tony to help save him. And Living Laser is confused by this, how kind Tony is to him for seemingly no reason. But then he's kidnapped by AIM to help power their MODOK, which was able to read minds. And he reveals that Iron Man's true identity was Tony Stark, and at this, Living Laser sacrifices himself to stop MODOK and save him. With his last line of the episode, as he lay dying once again, being "Look at me now... I'm the guy that saved Iron Man..."

One of my favorite armors in this show was the Iron Man 2099 armor. Also I wouldn’t mind if this version of Tony ever returned in the future. Like the idea of a much younger version of Tony becoming Iron man earlier sounds interesting. I can imagine the journey this version of Tony would have gone through had the show continued. I imagine it would have continued through Tony’s adult years even showing his eventual alcoholism and even the Avengers. As for how I imagine the show would eventually end well let’s be real it could be anything from a adaption of Iron Man : The End to something original

My favorite episode was the time-travel plot, where Andros Stark realizes that BECAUSE he went into the past, he ensured that the future existed. Thus, he decided to effectively kill himself, closing the loop and forcing Tony to realize the weight of the weapons he creates. The Extremis Hacking sequence was also hilarious. Andros Stark was about 16 versions AHEAD of Tony and chooses to shut off his suit. I also respected Justin Hammer because he learned he'd become The President of The United States. He wanted to keep it that way.

This show has a lot to do with me becoming a marvel fan in the first place; when I was younger, outside of reruns of Adam West's Batman I wasn't really into DC and Marvel, my superhero intake was CN's Ben 10 and Nick's Danny Phantom. Then one night I was too lazy to change the channel and ended up watching the 2008 Iron Man film, which I instantly fell in love with. Some time after that I stumbled on a listing for Armopred Adventures on my TV guide and set it to record (if memory serves, the episode with the sentient armour) and fell in love with that as well, and then, because of it airing as part of a block on Disney XD, I ended up seeing the last few minuites of Avengers EMH (the first episode with Red Hulk) and was curious to check out more, from there everything just clicked.

Really solid review! I like how in depth you went into the arcs of the characters! It was also nice to point out how Howard is a good and caring dad in the series as well.

I really liked this show when it on, I thought it had great character development and gave me some good laughs. I especially liked seeing Gene's relationship evolve with the main trio.

Armored Adventures is underrated. The armors were cool and the storylines were good. The adaptations of Extremis and Armor Wars, etc. Marvel should do a comic continuation.

I remember nothing about this show besides the fact I really liked it. Also, as far as early 3d style art, this actually holds up way better than I would expect. Legitimately a few recent anime that look way worse.

I loved this show as a kid. One of my favorite memories of my childhood was sitting down with my older brother after school to watch it with him. I still know the theme song by heart, and it really means the world to see it getting some of the love and recognItion that it absolutely deserves. seriously, it was awesome to see this.

Man, I remember this show. I was like 5 seeing the 2008 movie and 6 when the show first started. I never saw too much of it, similar to the Speed Racer show from around that time as well. But I'm hoping to actually sit down and watch this Iron Man show and see what I was missing from back in the day

This show was great, and its sister show that premiered alongside it Wolverine And The X-Men was probably what kept Nicktoons afloat for the longest time. Then they added Speed Racer: The Next Generation, and the friday trifecta really took off in my opinion.

Caught the whole thing just a couple months after the final episode and throughly enjoyed close to 90% of the series. The shift to writing teenage characters experiencing multiple drastic life changing events was mostly interesting and optimistic. The focus on the characters, struggles and fictional bleeding edge tech were woven together into entertaining stories that kept my geeky attention affixed throughout the series. I’m glad it’s finally getting the recognition it deserves.

It was a dope 2 seasons. Great theme. The story of Mandarin was an adventure of its own. It wrapped up very nicely, and really did not need a 3rd season. My only gripe was how clean the streets were because of the 3D style. No trashcans. No trash.
