The only reason the reserves received the APDS (by the introduction of which they were out of service for 10yrs) is to make the tree more "appealing" (=make it FOTM) because the B1 bis would shaft them

Was decommissioned by sweden but they developed an APDS shell and sold them as export tanks cause they had so many of them.

Actually, the shell was put into service in 1949 (hence the name) and these were all in service until at least 1957 (except the m/31 which were converted into static turrets, but technically still in service).

Wolski You can look up the bofors 37mm anti tank gun on google. You'll easily find all the information you need on the gun itself and the ammunition it used. (This is the gun equipped on all the swedish low tier tanks that fire* APDS, they all use the same gun.)

Had a guy with 18 kills (ground) thank god someone spawned in a black shark and took the bastard out. I changed all my crews to 7 and lower because i cant keep up with repairs

Idea for Phly if he ever feels like taking ideas or anyone really: There was a single occurrence in WWII where an M8 LAC was able to take out a kingtiger. I've done some testing and the way they took it out is not possible in war thunder (at least at the moment) but you can pen the rear turret ring. The way it was done irl was penning the back plate of the engine bay where it has only 80mm of armor. The only tiger you can take out with the turret ring is the II H because the rear of the ring is slightly more exposed and only has 30mm armor

Guys, this actually did happen, it was a KT. The reason why it penned despite mathematically being impossible was attributed to poor manufacturing as the metal was of poor quality. So the armor rating of that specific tank was less than what it should be. this was in the closing months of the war, Mark Felton made a video on it if you wanna watch it

French have cheeky armor, that's their advantage. I grinded through france and their low tiers are pretty decent. Low profile and good armor, I've killed so many confused Panzer II Cs trying to pen me, and I've bounced a lot of swede APDS and killed them. Also playing swedes had APDS bounce off of baguettes

The problem with french vehicles is that none were developed from 40 to 44, so they start pretty nice in WWI and then fight way more advanced vehicles in WWII.

Zi Yang Chow APCR and APDS are fundementally the same idea; a lightweight high velocity subcaliber penetrator encased to fit a big barrel. The only difference is APCR takes its casing with it whilst APDS discards it

That little fucking rocket truck is quickly becoming more hated than the Hellcat when playing Germany. It ignores armor (well, we’re used to it), but it fires a whole salvo whereas the Hellcat has only one shot. Not to mention it has a smaller profile.

Anti air coax and enough armor to defend against some MG fire for the M18, HEAT rockets and superior mobility along with a tiny profile for the S-H rocket memebile. That Swede rocket bucket is fun to stomp with the 20mm on the MBT70 though.

I’ve done a little research on this, it was supposably a vertical takeoff fighter due to the ever increasing allied bombing raids on airfields and etc... However, the prototype would only make it through wind tunnel testing before the war ended.

RaptorTheFish you have a point. But they still trying to make it balance everything even in simulator battles but it so bad. And how can you be not angry when your WWII Panther gets hit by a rocket from BMP or Heat shells from cold war era plus that Sabot rounds...

RaptorTheFish so as BMP can one shot Panther BUT BMP is faster, can swim, have night vision, the same would be with Tiger II - it’s legendary tank with impenetrable front armour (low quality at the end of the war but still). And what business do Leopards 1 on the same battle with the Tiger and Panthers ?

Honestly I had a blast at reserve tanks.. I got some really good games in, maybe because a bunch of people were beginners

The apds its on every 37mm armed tank of sweeden.

2and900 saw modern day missiles in the codes so I think it’s gunna be a test for modern aircraft :D
