Wahl Detailer Trimmer Repair
Here's another quick video where I again replace the bottom housing on a Wahl Detailer. This is a very common problem and can easily be repaired. When tightening the blade screws, do not over tighten as this can break the housing, causing the blade to rattle, spring to not stay in place, etc. Thanks for checking out our videos. Nick, I know you can sharpen the blades on a trimmer better than the factory cut. But what about everything else such as the motor or the power? Can you add more power to a brand new pair of trimmers such as the Wahl Detailers or Andis T Outliner?

Hey. My Wahl detailer was accidentally plugged into a socket with too much power and stopped working. I smelled a bit of smoke. Any idea if it is still fixable?

can you please help me fix my clippers. my wahl detailers just wont cut at all tjey are new and just randomly stop cuuting and i cant fix them and im the one who fixes everyones clippers at the shop

Hey man, I ordered a wahl detailer clone (actually, two different ones). I'm pretty sure I needed that white "cam follower", so I also ordered two replacement blade kits (that said they include the follower). Now I'm wondering if I'll need any other "stock" parts from the original wahl detailer, like that spring or anything? Can you advise please? I ordered a Renpho (amazon), and a model similar to the "CHJ Pro" on ali express. Thank you and thanks for these videos.

@@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973 I'm gonna need the "stock" Wahl cam follower to use the Wahl T-wide blade on the knock off trimmer right? The Renpho trimmer.

@@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973 I ordered an aftermarket blade set that comes with a cam follower (just to get the follower). I also ordered a stock Wahl blade set to get the blades (to replace the ones on the Renpro). That should be all I need to swap the stock Wahl blade over to the Renpro, right?

the switch when out on mine. is it better to buying a new one or getting fix?

Carlos Alvarado if the switch is physically damage then it is worth repairing but if the fuse blown out on the pcd switch. Then you don't oil or get your blades sharpened and you shorted out the motor. it will be expensive.

Carlos Alvarado np but you should oil every day so I'm guess it needs a motor too.
the spring on my detailer seems to get loose. i dont see any cracks in the shell. am i puting it wrong?

Bill H you can be putting it in wrong. But usually the housing will need to be replaced. there is a lip in the housing that holds it and it tends to ware off and then will not hold it correctly.

I put the spring and drive together then installed them seems to work better but hair keeps binding up the blade. Like andis outliners do.

Bill H new blades are not always sharp. they have a warranty if defective.
i jstt bought mine but after a month it stop working fine i dnt know if i use it wrong

send it back to wahl for warranty but if you don't oil blade it will break again.

I recommend oiling ever head you shave. if clipper still runs, it probably needs to be sharpened. from factory not very sharp.

Tim goodman I can't give an estimate without looking at it. But if your shipping one trimmer it won't be worth the cost of shipping. You might as well buy a new one.

Where to obtain all these Wahl parts? Wahl UK do not respond to emails sent to them. WAHL USA needs to shut down Wahl UK and open it with new staff at a different location.
