Bro I’m an andis guy, i have to confess. I just upgraded my 3 andis I, andis II & the Gtx corded trimmers with clear omnicord clear cases with the led switch, ceramic blade. After watching your Video I went onto Ebay and bought the Wahl Detailer. Thanks

I have a WMARK with adjustable speed and battery display, very strong and robust. You can remove(drill or hit out) the plastic taps on the moving blade assembly (Looks like they purposefully have made a place for modification.), and replace it with an appropriate size nut and screw to adjust the gap... or get a Wahl blade.

That 5 star blade is the bomb hands down. I heard about the andis gtx blade but never use it, andis need to come back or else they will be left in the dark, but andis corded trimmer no doubt will blow away all other trimmer when its come to power and hit if you get the blade to set right. But what i do i use wahl 5 star for line up and andis corded for jaw and neck line because of power. Both my wahl and andis trimmer or corded, the wahl is the old version with 5 start t wide blade but is not powerful enough on neck and jaw but its sharp, but i love it. But i think i need on upgrade on the wahl trimmer, its my number one trimmer that's why.

How is the longevity on this product? I had a wahl cordless retro, which i loved, but after a few months it just stopped working after minimum personal use. Wouldn't charge and couldn't stay on for more than 10 seconds Left me weary about cordless wahl products. Any feedback over 6 months? Over a year? Etc

I've always had a problem with setting my blades right so they don't leave a scar line afterwards. I actually have both clippers and like you I prefer Detailers as well. The Detailers are the best one for shape ups because the lines are much cleaner. I haven't used a modifier on my blades as of yet. As far as adjustments the only thing I have done is to even the back and front blades on a flat surface and then tighten them back and the shape ups are hitting but after a day or two the shape up scar lines show up. Any suggestions Brah....?

I searched for the top of the line trimmers online and watched KZread videos for reviews. Your video convinced me to purchase the Wahl 5 Star Cordless Detailer Li Trimmer 8171 and I'm thankful I listened. Awesome video. As for the Babyliss skeletonized trimmers, they are complete trash. I've had them for a month and a half and they are acting up. Sometimes they don't turn on when I hit the power slider, so I have to slide the power slider down and then up. That said, the most annoying thing about them, the loud noise. Damn these trimmers are loud when they get the tiniest particle of moisture, such as Coolcare or Clippercide. I've babied them and have not dropped them. I clean and oil them everyday and still, they drive me nuts. Worst purchase other than the Babyliss Gold FX clippers due to the glare that bounces off of them. I'm definitely thinking of buying these Detailers.

I'm a old school veteran barber, I guess I'm the type of barber that is, "If it ain't broke, don't fix". But, seriously seriously considering making that switch from the Anddis T-Outliners. So based of your professional experience. (1) Was there any difference when you switched to Wahl Liners? (2) Was there a lost of power when you went cordless? (3) Was the noise level unbearable? (4) And what's your opinion on the Wahl Professional Series Detailer #8081 with adjustable T-Blade? (Amazon) Thanks for the review, I appreciate your time an effort to prepare this video! THANKS.

To reply to the lost of power comment, there isn't loss of power being cordless. The detailer having a dual voltage, making it powerful. From hearing from our customers, the noise isn't much of a problem but it depends on what you consider unbearable haha.

No, the Wahl cordless Detailer came out 1st(it had an adjustable blade). That’s truly why they’re 100x’s better now. They took customer feedback & improved it. Pretty sure Andis will make their 2nd/updated T outliner better as well, just may take a few years. We’re in the cordless era & the main clippers we’ve used for decades will become better & better until we’re happy.

I wouldn't buy cordless anything. Simply because they will never last as long as the corded version. That battery will slowly lose charge and be worthless. To me, that's just one more thing to repair.
