    @@stephanemelo I know this comment is 6 years old, but I'll respond anyway. I think many digital effects can get quite close to his tones in a studio recording, but nowhere near when it comes to playing in front of a live amp setup. Having a real Mesa JP-2C and his pedals will always sound more detailed and full than a modeler or multi-effects.

  • @stephanemelo

    @stephanemelo

    28 күн бұрын

    @@shannonmitchell8515 Well, here's the thing: modellers and digital fx emulate the analog stuff anyways. But does it mean anybody can tell the difference ? Hell no. I'm sorry but again: his tone sounds like a demo patch from a 2000 multi-fx. Ok, like a demo patch from a Helix, if you want to talk about being "detailed." He doesn't sound like a million bnucks, he sounds like à 500$ multifx. Which is nice if you're into that kind of stuff.

I mean it sounded like your tone knob was rolled all the way off they were so bad! Wahs have come a long way and I currently use a CAE MXR Wah and I'd imagine J.P.'s wah in this video is true bypass like mine and offers absolutely zero "tone suck". Good licks & useful video!
