I feel it would have been best to comment on the sound etc after each pedal and before moving on to the next.
The major differences I noticed in the recording are in the box and price :)

Great job Shane! I can’t imagine all the time that took to make, but it was great it will definitely help people looking for a wah. Thanks for your hard work! 👍🏾
I’m using the mini-wah, it’s fantastic. The internal dip switches to change the voicing is clutch. I like the second position, seems to add some throatiness back into it, more similar to the Joe B. Wah
Need to try the John Petrucci, Zakk Wylde, and Jerry Cantrell. They seem to be very well regarded. The Dime Crybaby from Hell is awesome. Super versatile. Love mine.

Excellent comparison. Great to have your input as well as the actual sound of each. Thanks
Props on displaying each pedal, including consistency on playing the riffs/solo camera work & editing superb we don’t notice & we appreciate these type of videos bro keep killing it!!! 10/10
I love wah pedals, I've owned 3 of the ones from the list, the 535Q, the 95Q and now I own the Slash one... Gotta say they're all impressive, if they make a pedal like the 535Q in the style of the 95Q that will def be the ultimate wah pedal, I love how the 95Q activates just by stepping on it and it turns off when you step off, not to mention it feels better under the foot because when you push it with your foot it moves all the way up and down and there's no risk of turning it off by stepping on it to hard.
Awesome effort Shane. Really appreciate the amount of work that must have gone into this video. A great buyers guide for Cry Baby wahs.
Very cool video, I found the differences very subtle and the wah effect to be fairly even between all pedals. The mini and dim wah seemed meh on the mids but great on the highs. Awesome video. Thanks for gathering up all those pedals for comparison
Dunlop 535Q for me. Works great for when I actually need a wah.

This is awesome. Loved the JB one and the slash 😊. I've had an old vox for 20 years now and recently got the Mooer Wahter. Sounds great, small but folds out and is activated as soon as you put your foot on. Great video as always!

Thanks for sharing your hard work, just setting up, wore me out just watching! Thank you for playing the same thing!
Great video! I received the Hendrix Wah as a gift some time ago and I’ve always wondered where it sat in the sweep/frequency range in comparison to other models. I like the Bonamassa’s sweep. The EVH definitely shines with more gain!
I like the 535Q. I had that wah, before I got a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe. (my wah since 2009) . Also love the Teese RMC-10. All Wah's should have the 2 indicator-lights on top, like the EVH wah. Great comparison. Well done, informative & very fair.
thank you for this video, just came across randomly since i wanted to get a wah, also amazing to see a fellow lefty! amazing tele!
Very comprehensive. Thanks for taking the time to set it all up.
I can't believe you were able to turn them on/off in one shot with the pedals on double carpet! That's truly impressive! Oh and the playing was decent too ;)
I demoed the mini recently for a local music shop and was dead impressed. The 3 settings are really distinct and the sweep is great

Great demo Shane! I have the Joe Bonamassa wah and love it, but thought that the red Slash unit sounded really good, especially with the clean signal.
I really like the sound of the Hendrix pedal it was kind of a rustyness with a chorus, the Dime pedal was second best.
Thanks for this! I am currently trying to choose the right one for me so this is perfect
Great review once again Shane. Appreciate these videos, gives us nerds some idea of the sounds available. The Hendrix, Q, and Classic for me. jmho.
I used to have a vox wah back in the '70s, long gone now, but now I have the 535Q that is sooooo adjustable and the boost circuit sounds smoother than my other distortion/OD pedals. I love it. Its like having several wah pedals in one.
Great video, I think I'll get your pedal, kinda most memorable to me. Thank you for making this video. Happy new year!
Great demo. So much work. I’m not a wah guy but if I’m in the market, this vid will be a great reference point.
Thanks for doing all this work for us! Hours of research in a 15 minute video 🤘🏼
Best wah review ever. They all sound almost the same clean except the EVH and Slash. Then with dirt the EVH and Slash sound the best. I have the 535Q since it came out and it's personally to me the most versatile wah ever and with the correct settings you can make it sound like all those wah pedals.

Thanks for this video Shane! Been wanting to add a Wah pedal and I think the Bonamassa pedal may have earned a spot.
Honestly; and not just because I'm a fan, i think the Jim Dunlop JC95 Jerry Cantrell Signature wah covers just about all these tones simply, and effectively. And looks cool too.
That must have been very challenging to put together. Thanks Shane! I'm an Australian who has been living in Canada but now back in Australia because of "you know what". Not long before I hi tailed it back here in March I bought a 535Q. It's still in Canada so I can't wait to get back to there (in the near/distant future) to give it a run! Not to mention getting back to my sweet Canadian partner ..lol..
Unbelievable!!! I just started searching and comparing wah pedals two days ago.... You are the man!
Thank u for all the work u put into your videos. Much appreciated and enjoyed. ✌🧡 from florida 🇺🇸
Agreed The slash pedal is a pleasant sound along with Hendrix pedal , Joe's pedal is nice EvH was also great , as far as signature pedals go , Gary Clarks has a interesting mid range tone that was cool .
It looks like he has the Cry Baby 535Q and the Cry Baby 95Q labeled as each other. So, you need to reverse those to know which is which. The 535 is on the very end, while the one he points out as odd (second from the right in the row nearest him) is the 95Q.
@shanewright9735

It took me until later in the video to figure it out too. I was bummed thinking they had changed the 95Q to be in line with most other Crybaby pedals. The spring loaded/instant on aspect of the 95Q is what makes it so cool and unique. I've had one since 2000, and even though I have bought other CB's since, I often go back to the 95Q as my main Wah

Fantastic rundown of all the potentials! For me, the Hendrix wah is the definitive winner.
Thank you for doing this video.. I liked the classic slash and Hendricks pedals. But the 535q was my favourite so think I'll go for that. Cheers 🤘🏼
Great video. I can only imagine what a pain the the ass it had to be to edit. They’re all pretty similar, but I liked the quack of the Joe and the Jimi.
Thanks for the great work ! Cheers from France !
Great work Shane I like the original and the Bonamassa the best but they are all cool. Excellent video and good work
The Hendrix, Slash, and Bonamassa pedals sounded the best to me. They seemed like they would do best with the type of sound/ tone I want to achieve. Thanks for the vid.

Great comparison, I suspect some handle gain/fuzz better than others. Also love the sneakers 👍🏼
They all Waka Waka.
Excellent video! I wish someone would have done this years ago. Thanks for talking me out of the mini, IMO, the worst, tinniest one of the bunch. Some were a bit screechy, but they all sounded better with distortion. Some of my favorites in the video: The GCB95F. Sounds full, reminds me of the Slash. The Slash(not the classic). That sounded the fullest, without getting muddy. Hendrix. Almost as good as the Slah. The Dime. This one surprised me, because Don't listen to a lot of Pantera, this one doesn't have much of a sweep, but sounds good in all positions If I had to choose one, it'd be the Slah.

For years my favorite wah was the Dunlop Jerry Cantrell, buy I had to sell it a while ago. Recently I got the John Petrucci wah, and my god, what a piece of gear. It has the on/off light in the right spot, TBP, red fasel and TONS of options to shape the tone, since it's basically the rack wah in pedal format. Stock, the sound is deep and "throatie", so... deep throat :D

@@yrmthr well, he used it enough that the pot wore out and gave it a unique mid rangey sound that they recreated for the signature one…
I have used a S/H GCB-95 (revision F or G from memory). 12 years ago ago I modded to True Bypass put in a sealed pot and changed a few resistors. The onboard input/output jacks broke so I replaced those with wired off the board metal jacks. Recently, I dropped in an LED on/off light. It's just keeps on ticking and rolling with the changes. I'm not a purist but the True Bypass mod for these is an essential one for me -- stock the models they made through the '80s, 90s and a bit later are complete tone suckers. They roll off a lot of top end when bypassed.
I always wanted to try the Bonamassa one because of the output buffer and the true bypass switch.
Thank you very much for useful comparison!
Hello, really nice sounds on your channel, keep it up 👏👏👏
You totally are going to understand and make a separate review over the Dimedag wah 😎🎸😎🎸😎🎸😎🎸

my ear must be finally getting good. i pretty much agreed with all your thoughts. wasn't too fussed on the slash ones though. you liked the second one a fair bit. cheers mate
The cheap one the gcb95 (one of my favorite) stands up pretty well, check out a shootout between a crybaby, vox, morley, but do it right. Theres a behringer hellbabe too that looks cool. Dont forget the hand wired pedals, those are worth a lot
Finally! Comparison of all wah pedal!!
A really awesome comparison ! Of course, all pedals have "the sound". I love the Hendrix and the Bonamassa. I like less the EVH... I've got the original Cry Baby bought in the late 80's. This year I've made the choice of the Jam Pedals Whacko+ : really great 👍. If I hadn't found this Whacko+, I think it would have been the Bonamassa. Thanks for this great demo !!
For me best are the 95F and the 95Q for the clean and the Gary Clark and still the 95Q for the distortion. Thank you!!
Neat idea for a video. I also recommend the Jerry Cantrell crybaby wah.
I love the red one! Sounds like really strong and warm! I gonna buy one hehe
The slash models sounds awesome, thanks for that
Thanks to this vid, I bought the Bonamassa wah. I've not yet heard any of his songs, but the wah is incredible!
The biggest difference i noticed is between Bonamassa and EVH. I've been considering that JoeBo pedal for awhile and i might get it now. Thanks for the video!

I have the 535Q - its highly adjustable and has a booster built in. A real tweak-fest if you are into that -- dial in your own sound.
The Hendrix was the one for me, although I think the Bonamassa would be a great choice for blues stuff. I used to have a GCB95 but wasn't that impressed so sold it. I currently have a Morley Bad Horsey and a Behringer Hellbabe, which is supposedly a clone of the Dunlop Dime Bag wah here. Both are really good.
The red Slash pedal had the most appealing sweep range to me. I like a lower frequency wah sweep. The knob on the side looks like that the sweep range may be adjustable. That or some sort of built in boost. I'll have to look into it. I do have a CB-95 that I rolled the pot back inside to give it a lower sweep. I definitely like the spring loaded wah just for the fact of operating in the way the wah is naturally used, meaning you press down and roll in from the lower frequencies first, instead of smashing the button down and starting high.
@jamespettitt2162
8 ай бұрын
There’s 2 knobs on the side, gain and volume, there’s also a distortion switch at the back on the same side that can only be engaged if the wah is engaged :)
Nice painted. And boxes. Sound 's great.
Great demo! Thanks for comparing all of them. One small heads up, you swapped the 535Q and 95Q labels around, the former has the big silver knob, the latter has no switch.

Yes, I also think they are swapped.
The Hendrix and The Slash one sound good for me. Also The Bonamassa, it’s a little bit roaring. The others are similar eachother, a part the eddy one, too brilliant for me.
Pretty fun. Given that some of those can be adjusted, it's a tough call. Didn't care for the EVH at all. I did like the 95F. The Hendrix sounded great on lead.
That was an awesome comparison I think the mini sounded the best and the EVH definitely sounded different all the other ones pretty much sounded the same but what do I know
I like their Buddy Guy wah. Great to play and also looks cool with its polka dot motif.
My wife bought me a Vox for Christmas so this won't help me but awesome video! Probably try a crybaby in the future!
Wah-ow! What a fast SBS video. Awesome. I found the pedals having more distinctive sound on the drive channel. Is it only me?
Hi, great show, thanks! Have you tried the cantrell? Thanks again and Keep on Rockin
Damn you Shane, now I need another wah !!!🤨😩😩😝 Overall, I dig the tones of all of the wah pedals and I was surprised how much I liked the Slash wahs and the EVH (and big surprise the Jimi Hendrix 🤓) The Vox 846 Handwired is the one I own and although I enjoy it, I think I wouldn’t mind trying something different. I absolutely love wah pedals and along with a fuzz, I always have these on my board. That was a Herculean effort setting up all those pedals!!! Excellent companion Shane!! Cheers 🎸🎸🎸
