Thanks for your coverage of Wactor and its less than illustrious history. As you've said this is a completely F'd up situation and honestly i'm torn between the hatred against the company and their CEO and the love i have for their talents both current and former. On the bright side Hina is debuting as indie tomorrow under a new identity so i wish her the best.

Basically yes. if Hololive finally makes an ES branch, they will reap the fruits of WACTOR's labor that they so stupidly squandered. Seriously, if WACTOR had actually cared about their talents they would have had a complete grip on the Latin American market. But no, they chose the "lets be a black company" route instead.

Hina Misora was the largest Wactor vtuber (and "technically" she still is). And somehow WACTOR managed to get rid of her for unknown reasons. As well as her friend and another important WACTOR vtuber, Luna Rurine. As well as a talent of rapid growth that debuted just 2 months before leaving the company, Neon Kuroyuri. But hey, membership is still active, sponsor our talents now 😃

I'm a spanish speaking native to South America. WACTOR is indeed a terrible company that exploits their talent, and the saddest part of all is that if they had actually taken good care of their talents, and invested some resources in expanding to South America not just virtually but physically (like, partnering up with companies or brands in the continent, releasing official merch, etc) They would have had the whole Vtuber Spanish Speaking market conquered and firmly in their grasp. But they did not, instead they took the "black company" route and did their talents dirty, pushing them away and now losing their two most popular streamers in the Spanish speaking market, Luna Rurine and Hina Misora, which would be the equivalent of Hololive losing the likes of Sakura Miko and Usada Pekora in the span of a week. WACTOR had planted the seed in fertile soil, but instead of reaping the crops, they burned them. Leaving just one thing behind: The fact that Latin America is a profitable market for Vtubers. And now companies like Hololive are tentatively hiring a spanish speaking Vtuber (Hakka) which is streaming on Spanish every sunday (and having quite a lot of views every time he does), which one has to wonder if Hakka will end up as the Kiryu Coco of his Gen, causing Hololive to make a ES branch (like how Coco inspired them to make a EN brand). Because, believe me, Latin America is ripe for the taking of Vtubers, Anime is insanely popular in the whole continent to the point is basically mainstream now (I have yet to meet a single person that hasn't watched Dragon Ball and/or Saint Seya, for example), and if Hololive does expand here, they will take advantage of the bases that WACTOR built but were too stupid to actually use.

Coco advocated for "hololive USA" rather than EN, Holo EN producer claimed it was always his idea to localize hololive for Western audiences actually. Anyway no Holostar member will ever have this sort of influence, that guy can't even get 100K subs month after debut.

i agree wactor had a solid foundation laid out for capturing the spanish speaking audience but ofc they had to fk it up. and i really hope Holo or Niji profit on that because even if wactor continues to debut more ES vtuber they already ruined their reputation with most of the audience that knows wactor.

For an old company in comparison to how long vtubing has been around, I barely hear anyone go in depth about them other than "black company." To my knowledge, the doxx situation is only getting worse. There's so much uncharted land when it comes to the ES community here that it's weird that it isn't being taken advantage of.

Yeah, Wactor used to be a beacon of hope for the ES Vtuber community. Hizuki Miu really made that light burn bright and talents like Luna and Misopita were really nice and unique. A shame they fumbled our community so badly and treated the talents like garbage. Now the talents get to take the fanbase while their agency burns and crashes. I hope more Tubers make it out of there.

there's no hope on wactor for making the things better, it's going down. I hope if some of the current members want to continue as vtubers after leave wactor, maybe at the end of the year, they consider apply to a big agency, if a opportunity comes up. They are so talented and charismatic people, either they go in an agency or independant, they'll have all the support from their fans and can get more. I want them to grow up big and to show themselves what they are able to

This video might be a little old, but as a huge Hina fan, I have good news. She´s doing amazing now, no need to worry. She´s re debuted as Meica Ch. we as her fans are loyal and she´s continuing to grow. WACTOR sucks balls and every talent they had deserves the world. If you know some spanish you should check her out

They were huge on the Spanish-speaking side of the world, easily some of the most known Vtubers, particularly Hina Misora and Luna Rurine. All the drama and their reputation getting worse and worse made them lose some steam but still continued to grow until they fired their two biggest talents and basically destroyed the little reputation they still had.

This whole thing has been painful for me Wactor has some great talent and they could've been a great company . But as of now it seems that this is the beggining of the end for them.

I wonder if after all of these, EN companies may develop an interest in recruiting ES talent. I guess the big downside is that any Spanish speaker would have to debut under an EN or ID role, unless they want to take time to properly start a new branch.

If hololive would now quickly set up a spanish speaking Hololive branch then I am something similar to Kobo / Gura could happen. South American audience is huge. They could also collab with EN since many people speak English as well.

I always wondered where are Spanish VTubers. I live in Argentina, and in my entire life (at least on the internet) I only saw 1 VTuber that speaks Spanish. I guess this is one of the reasons why I never saw them. Great video!

debes ser muy nuevo en esto de los vtubers, hay un mundo de vtubers latinos, unos mas agradables que otros, pero estan muy presentes en la escena vtuber en español, los mas populares son zilverk (mexicano), Nimu (argentina), Rakkun (peruana) y Meica (de Japon) antes Hina Misora, entre muchos mas

As one of the first viewers of Wactor when they got close to LATAM, I have to say that this has been a good video, there is much more to talk about the suspensions of the talents, and the big market that they lost with their decisions. One thing that it's largely criticised is the lack of communication of management about the suspension and termination of the talents, like the one with Laila, the one that began as a definite suspension, and as the time went by (and the membership was still active), the community keep pressing for answers and a date of return, only to be ignored and later, betrayed with the notice of the "sue" of Laila and her biggest fan at the time, apparently for defamation, but we know it wasn't for that, she was the one that keep insisting and raising awareness of Laila. Anyway, the is much more to get from this company like this details and things that happen in the official discord, and I appreciate your video to spread the word of this company that just left us hurt as a community.

wactor not only damaged Laila, but also the thai community, they were the first ones to leave wactor, there was a possibility of another thai vtuber debut in wactor, or even more english speakers members sooner, but it was bad all along because the crap management, but doxxing wasn't something that someone could imagined to happen

I hope the places where Wactor targets its viewers sees this video, and their current and future potential vtubers, just so that they know what they're getting into. I mean, the 5million yen contract breach or something mentioned in the video is insane, also the fact that they don't relay all information about the contract via the supposed language barrier or something which was mentioned in the video. (fyi, I got no other context or info about this besides from this video, so I'm basing my opinion solely from what I've seen on this video, and am not bothered to do a google search about this)

@@hidemeplz contract law in many countries requires conformed concent meaning if they lied in transalation or hid details you can argue that in court matters where u live tho plus contracts are not aloud to violate human rights so too controling of public loife outside work would never pass as legal

@@hidemeplz im not a lawyer and even if was im not from south america so i wouldnt be licenced to give legal adfvise in those countries my statments more general understanding of contract Both parties in the contract must give their consent voluntarily. If there are certain mistakes, or if one party attempts to deceive or pressure the other, consent will not be considered voluntary or genuine. in most legal systems, but allways best to contact local legal aid to try and get a understanding of ones own countries laws on the issue and never sign a contract eithout a lawyer reading over it

Wactor make subdivisions to avoid use the Wactor brand, Mets-Music is one of those subdivisions so Miu is still under Wactor (The VA of Miu has the rights of her model so she can left if she want)

I know it sucks for the talents there, but going for a total boycott seems to be reasonable. It's often hard to find your favorite VTubers under a new identity and it takes some time, but it's better to not let such abusive company thrive.

Honestly from the beginning it was clear that they just wanted to cash in into the latino community, but surprisingly, the talents over time actually began understanding the language and our cultures, so they began to pretty much feel not just involved into the Vtuber world, but the sense of belonging was also right there ever stronger. But of course, the Suits (or, suit) had to highlight the small words on the contract where it says "your soul is mine, otherwise you're publicly in trouble". A shame, cause of the remaining talents Himea is easily my favourite but i'm happy Eileen and Meica are actually fighting for the others, even if on their own.

I feel bad but I suggest do not support any Wactor talents. Every click, every donation, every tweet supports the talents BUT a large part of the money & influence will go to Wactor. You can't support companies like that. Wait for the talents to leave and support their new accounts / channels.
