First or not. I've just bought one to come out my M4 CS. Just can't be bothered driving something that can see me banned in 2nd gear. Its brutal on the road and I can't be arsed with that anymore.

And that is wise words. Too many cars have power that is really too much for UK roads, having to watch your speed all the time and apart from accelerating up a slip road joining a motorway etc, once you get to the speed limit thats it unless risking being caught. Pointless. Thats why I like cars such as this and the Abarth 595.

Got one of these, using efficient driving techniques I get 72 mpg average.

72 from the gti?! I'm looking at downsizing from an octavia vrs to this it'll be in April time. What efficiency do you get at 70mph and what rpm does the engine sit at?

@@AR-zr1om At 70mph on the motorway is more 64mpg without tagging behind a lorry. Can achieve 72mpg at 40-60mph, using coasting methods as per my daily commute.

No way you get that mpg. Lucky if I get mid 50s driving it like a pensioner.

@@18T220had mine about 8 weeks now and never had anything like that. Mid 50s driving it sedately.

Mrs W has got a Black GTI and it goes like the proverbial off a shovel. I’ve ordered a GTI to be delivered in March 2023 (was supposed to December, then January). Would totally agree with everything that’s been covered in the video

What are the best all year round tyres? I pick mine up next week. It already has two Hankook on the front and Good Year on the rear. Was also thinking of having the car under sealed and installing the Cobra seats. Thoughts please people.

Nice video :) The first track is quite overused nowadays I find and maybe it also repeated to make it to like 3:30 in but a nice review. Might take a look at one of these or get a test drive, but they just seem a bit small for me

Good for the price when new but prices on used examples are rather speculative. For £15K or so, one may be better looking elsewhere.

Got a Golf GTI 245 but the little Up GTI looks a hoot!

Area, Job Role, and adding experienced drivers onto the insurance helps massively 👍🏻😉

Insurance is wacky anyway, its cheaper for me to insure v8 land cruiser or the indestructible 1hd-fte i6 diesel than it is for me to insure a standard up....yep....still looking at 4k in insurance but i still got quoted 7k for an up

@@DrivenPlus I swapped my i30N 2021 performance because I hardly used it, bought a up gti and the difference was £9 FFS im 58 with 20yrs no claims on e sure .

Who was the insurance with may i ask? Got a friend currently looking at these

Insurance is different for every driver so no point going with whoever they use on here.

Why is everyone asking about the insurance ? Its different for every driver ! Just because it costs blah blah for someone else, its totally irrelevant.

if its a 1 litre isnt that not a gt how does it rate cus reviews for the car say it doesnt do that great on the road or on grass which isnt brill if you dont have a drive ✔️
