This week we've had the latest VW Polo GTI MK6 in our workshop for the VUDU Performance Stage 1 ECU + TCU Calibration.
This customer had only recently purchased this Polo and reported the power felt restrictive. Opting for both the ECU and TCU calibration, we could unlock that lost potential, tuning both the engine and the DSG gearbox to bring to life that missing power.
From our software alone this car managed to pick up around 50WHP and 75lbs/ft of torque.

    Hi if it is OK I've got a question about the engine. I understand the Polo GTI has the Gen3.B version of the 2.0 EA888 engine. Is this version that much different to the standard Gen 3 EA888 in the Golf GTI? Is it it harder to tune?

    Just taken delivery of my Mk6 Polo GTI+ and it appears as if they've chosen to fit the mk6.5 "facelift" engine tune & gearbox into the last run of the Mk6. My car is quoted 210hp and has the 7 speed DSG in it despite being pre-facelift. I'd assume this might need changes made to the maps for this "half-facelift" and the future new facelift Polos. Especially for the change from 6 speed to the 7 speed DSG. It appears the only physical difference is the placement of the GTI badge on the boot, its centred just like how it will be in the Mk6.5 as apposed to the bottom left for the Mk6 Polos.

    Just a heads up, the turbo is difference between the 6c and AW. Also, did you experience Intake temperatures creeping up due to the tiny intercooler?

    Yes this car would benefit hugely from an intercooler. Our understanding is the IS12 is the limiting factor for the timing

    @@VUDUGarage The turbo is a continental RAAX which is a similar size to the IS20. I have the same engine but in a Leon which has a better intercooler than the polo so suffers less from heat soak. Will you be offering stage 2 software in the future

    Interesting to hear these polos get the stronger dsg box. I like the convenience of auto but on the otherwise excellent 6c platform I wouldn’t feel happy remapping on the chocolate dsg they had!

    Does the stage 1 ecu and tcu remap void a new warranty of the car from vw . I have a 2023 model polo gti and keen to do a stage 1 but kinda put off if the warranty gets picked back

    I always thought the AW Polo GTi ran an IS20 Turbo, which turbo is it? IS12?

    We've done a little bit of research and found that the new Polo GTI Models run a Continental turbo much like the new Golf's. It will be something we will look more into.

    What would 0-100kph and 1/4 results be after this Stage 1 tuning? This car stock would help find a wife, but after Stage 1, maybe find you two! :)

    £700 for a remap ripped. Slt remaps are just as good and it’s £260 for ecu and tcu 🙄🙄🙄😅
