Hi I want to buy one. Which one is best for fuel economy petrol or diesel. I have opel corsa 1.4 petrol and is not good one fuel I get 35mpg

Hi man, sorry if I am late, but, I have a VW Polo with a 1.2 Bluemotion engine (diesel). Consumption is very low in my case, the lowest that it was consuming was 3.1l/100km (75.9 mpg) but, not to use the lowest value, 2nd lowest value was 3.3l/100km (71.3 mpg) with an average speed of 80 km/h (50 mph). On the highway, it consumes a bit more, around 4.2l/100km (56 mpg) which is still good. With normal driving, average for me is 3.5l/100km(67mpg). I am also gentle with gas because I am a fresh driver, but still, consumption will not vary too much. Diesel engines overall spend less fuel than petrol engines. Also, I recommend maintaining the engine on time, because it will consume less if the engine and oil are clear. Also, consumption can be affected by tires and fuel (if fuel is cleaner or so). Overall, diesel engines will consume around 4l/100km (60mpg). Polo is small and very easy to drive, good for fresh drivers. It's reliable and I don't have something bad to say about this car. If you want to know more, feel free to ask.

There is only one problem the tdi version with more power and torque is equiped with tyres 175/70r14 , the petrol version with tyres 215/45r16 i think that with the same Tyres the petrol version be wins

1.2 TDI ok. what is 1.2. this is MPI.

TDI - Turbocharged Direct Injection. (Diesel) MPI - Multipoint Fuel Injection. (Gasolina)
1 2 tdi is faster wtf
But i managed to reach 176 km/h with mine 1.2 O.o This cant be the top speed lol
