I really enjoyed seeing you two in a longer form video, sharing more of yourselves. Looks like a lot of work you have taken on. My favorite car ever was my old ‘72 VW MicroBus. Bought it from my brother-in-law, who had built a racing engine for it. He builds and races VW dragsters for a hobby. I lived in that bus for most of ‘85. It was wonderful. Best Of Luck

You inspire me! I'm a young artist who wants to restore my own bus( my dad owns a restoration shop) and I just love ur style, vibes, and bus! I also have a channel where I do rabbit breeding! LOVE U BOTH AND HOW IS THE BUS DOING?

Really enjoyed your first adventure. You are both charming and nice people.As true VWer's are. A well done little movie. I hoped you would get a Type 2. My first Westy,and the one I learned from. Much easier to do yourself. I don't want to cause trouble,but please,pay no attention to those VW "impurists",that want to defile a beautiful aircooled,with a Suburu. Not that there is anything wrong with them. But they belong in a Suburu. I am incredibly impressed with your hard work,ingenuity,and thank you for saving another fine old VW. That's so wild that you guys ran into someone at the gas station that was towing a bus too haha. This is so awesome though...I am currently living out of my jeep and traveling around the US full-time, documenting my travels over on my channel. I am always keeping an eye on craigslist in whatever town I'm in for these. Hoping to be living in one by next year.

I love the VW camper van. Had a 1969 that I drove for ten years, gosh how I miss breaking down on the road.

So I am a Canadian near Maine in NB. If you down the road decide to start a restoration shop give me first dibs on your master welder. I do mechanics as well. Hmm

There is a Volkswagen shop at I think 21st and Lynn Lane in Tulsa.

Is there any reason why you did not swap the motor or tranny on your previous VW? This is so much work having to start all over again, but I have to admire your patience and perseverance. This is very time consuming work, but definitely worth the time and effort though. All the best.

Cool new project I watched your last project. Lots of props you totally took that thing with no prior knowledge. That is totally commendable and inspiring. Your project is very similar to mine. I have a 1970 Westy and have struggled teaching myself how to do many things. I try to do as much myself and pretty much have been able to stick to that. You can see some of videos. My editing skills are not on par with yours so it may be kinda sucky at times sorry. Le t me know if you need any advise to avoid making the same mistakes I did. One tip I will give right now is to not worry about the appearance of the outside and focus on the mechanical first. If you want to do rust repair that is fine but mechanical is way more important and nowadays people appreciate the patina of original paint as much as a nicely painted bus

Research a Subaru engine conversion. It more than doubles the horsepower!

Im actually doing that with mine lol just pulled the engine, its an ej22 with 60k miles for $550. Its really the best way to go if its a bus that will be driven daily. If you are just restoring for the originality then you would go with an original VW engine.

Hey Gliss, Sunday to Sunday will continue - This will be in addition to it at whatever paced interval I get to work on it!

The best bet is to buy a Subaru engine with ac pump and wiring. You get about 1/3 more horse power and you don't have to change that much.Check it out on you tube The difference in price is worth the extra power '

Wee a Boo probably not, too much maintenance, gas mileage is horrible etc. Get an eco car for like 500$. Not the best but it gets you around.

You need to check out Mustie1's channel on YT- guy is like a VW expert!

A good body for a shoe string budget :)

tdi conversion.look up lupo tdi,mk3 golf tdi. and that bus need lots of welding.good luck.
