Seeing the bus come out of the forest into the bright light was like it was taking a breath of fresh air for the first time knowing it will live and drive again! I hope to see this barn door being built soon.

This video is amazingly clear, it is almost like being IN this beautiful forest! If only viewers watching the film, could also SMELL the pine needles from these lovely trees!

Greetings from Scotland, Sweden always a great source for old abandoned vws my 71 bay and 61 bug both came from sweden.

There's something very satisfying about saving an old kombi out of the forest and then driving it again, they're great! Enjoy!

What a find, looks pretty straight, with all glass in tact! Many congratulations for getting it out without breaking a single window! You can just about see it hanging on with it's last strength as the tractor gets it out, knowing it will be safe soon. Well done for saving a classic before it's too late and tractor driving with finesse!

Wonder no more - it all happened 'very' slowly and the steering box gave no response back to the drive as to which direction it wanted to go in ;) ... hence it got left there. More of a piece of art these days, way to slow for modern roads, maybe even dangerous at such slow speeds. But it is cool and so long as they get saved - that's all that matters. Good Luck with the restoration.

the tow bar on the front tells me it was dragged thru the woods, probably as a storage van for timbering for a long time. not uncommon. I found one in the US like, that. far out in the woods, where it never could have driven on its own power.

BTW, if you guys aren't professional engineers, you should be. the bridge and the lift were quite the feat. usually these things get torn to pierces being while being "rescued"

Yeah I've seen cars torn in half whilst being "rescued"

So, a left hand drive bus with goods doors opening onto the kerb side (as Sweden was driving on the left until 67). Wonder why it wasn't delivered as a right hand drive?
