I fucking love this dude. Searching on Reddit for different headphone recommendations and then looking up reviews on KZread led me to a couple of his videos. Aside from good content, that constant smile is so fucking positive.

For over 6yrs the gr07 have been the standard(neutral sound) recommendation for 100$ price range. And now the tin t4(from china) is being considered to be a natural successor of the gr07 with a slight improvement in both sound and build. I’m really hoping that you get your hands on these and hear your impressions. Lol man I miss your reviews!

Just got a pair of Classic 07's today, and i've gotta say that i'm really am loving the sound of them! They have this sort of crispy warmth to them that are so nice to listen to. Sounds are precise and snappy without feeling too artificially mechanical or surgical if you will. Your review was one of the things that swayed me to try them out, so thanks for the great video and impressions.

Haha, funny you share that and also thanks for reminding me I posted this. The right side volume of my 07's is now way lower than the left, and I haven't been able to properly enjoy them for several months now. Shame, as i really enjoyed their sound, but it does seem like their durability and build has issues.

Thanks for the review Lachlan! Got mine today since I've been wanting a breather from my Sony XBA-4. Love the negative profile. The treble is very good, dry, and bass well-extended, not as punchy as my XBA-4, but I can live w/ that. Unfortunately, the ear guides are the same ones as the VSonic VSD3/3S ㅠㅠ.

Thanks for the respond. Despite what you said, I ended up going with the XBA-30s, and after listening to them for about 20 hours now I love them. Exactly what I wanted, their only downside being 12 ohm output impedance.. lucky for me I have an iphone 4/clip + both with ~1 ohm impedance. They sound much different on my nfb11.32 (2ohms), less bass and more harsh highs. I may pick up the XBa-c10 later when I am in japan, look amazing for price.

Just stumbled on your channel, and you are my favorite audio reviewer on youtube, I look forward for your upcoming videos for sure! Just wanted your opinion on what IEM I should get (only one, and id use it for running and travel too) - My main rig is HE-500s and I absolutely love their sound signature. I listen solely to electronic music. Ones ive looked into are XBA-30s, RE-400s, and gr07s, possibly XBA-40s, but sound too picky/ colored for me. Your opinion would be valued!

Hi, I have been watching few of your videos and trying to see how your listening likes match mine. You mention the Audio Technica ATH-IM02 was your favorite in one video, but mentioned this GRO7 is similar but has some high end extension. I do prefer a bit of exaggerated highs because I was some hearing loss from age and music volumes Ive listened to. Now to the question, have you heard all of the versions of the GRO7, and do you have a preference? Thanks for taking the time!

Also, fyi most of the electronic music I listen to is in the hardcore/synth/happyhardcore/ female japanese vocal genre so i prefer slightly forward mids and as people say for the HE-500s a slight *sparkle* to the highs, bass I don't really care as long as it isn't coloured too much in either direction as it is accurate and doesn't bleed over to other sounds.

if you like comfort of the cables on the original, you should def get the mkII (or the classic if it uses the same cable). the cable is apparently more bendable than the original, which explains why i dont even need ear hooks for them to stay over my ear! all it takes is moving the adjustable piece 1.5 inches above the Y joint.

Hi, Lachlan great review as always ^_^ FYI I bought my very first portable headphone which is the ATH ES-700 based on your review and I find it as a very good headphone (thanks) Now I'm thinking of buying an IEM which is also an all rounder but leaned a bit towards rock music (IMHO the ES700 doesn't deliver rock music quite to my liking), so what would u recommend? Since I live in Mainland China, I'm thinking of getting one of those VSonics, and it has come down to 2 choices, the bass version of this gr07 or Vsonic VC1000 Maybe u have something else in mind besides those 2, as long as it is around the same price range it is still okay Thanks Lachlan, aaand I've subscribed, haha

They sound really great, but they're SO delicate, both the driver and the cord. I wouldn't use them on the go even if I still had a pair.

anytime i read amazon reviews for this there are people complaining about build quality, they say it stops working after a week or so in one ear. it's the only thing stopping me from buying these asap.

buy them from lendmeurears or penonaudio. really good customer service from those guys. i bought a product from lendmeurears and even after thirty days, they offered to replace my product if it gives me problems. I did let them know the sound dropped on the right ear during the first day I received the item and then it stopped happening so after 2 weeks of use without reoccurence I decided to keep it. They said if it happens at all, just let them know and they'll replace it.

I haven't heard many things that are better than the GR07. Things that you might like more are the Sony MDR EX1000 / 7550 or the Tralucent 1Plus2, but I don't like the build on the 1Plus2.

TBH I'm not the biggest fan of that one TBH, but Like Clockwork... is a complete change of pace and to my tastes a lot better than all their previous work. Do you like this type of music with the GR07? I reallyyyyy want to see if I can get a pair. Cheers!

Is the build quality of the gr07s good? I'm considering getting a pair for myself. My previous pair of klipsch r6is broke :( and I hope the gr07s will last longer than it. and thanks for all your great vids :)

Pinglay He Yes hifiman re400. I mostly use my Sansa clip zip rockboxed and iphone4s . According to reviews,i heard VSD1S has about 90% the performance as that of gr07. so i'm confused as to whether i should take VSD1S or re400
