    Imagine boxing someone at full effort while they casually chat in third person to an invisible audience. It would be intimidating and infuriating lol

    Hey , thanks so much for the boxing tutorial I can now relax when fighting on vr I.e up until now I used to get in the ring, Mexican style . In the heat of the battle I use to go all out. But now after watching you fight I can recognise a clear pattern / timing in the fight. So once again, thank you. I have been training quite allot on vr since I broke my leg, I have been fighting with my leg in a moon boot so my foot work kind of sucks. Take care

    Cool but why throw back single punches and not combos? Is there something in the game that makes combinations not work effectively?

  • @trivialbeingplays

    @trivialbeingplays

    Not at all! Combos are essential for knockdowns. I just train the counter and getting right back to defense so I don't leave myself open too much, but when you land a really damaging counter can be the perfect time to follow up and make it a combo... You just don't want to be committed to the combo from the start, in case that first one misses and you're then left open for their counter.

    you can add the difficulty and realism by taking off those "Hit" colors.

    hey its that quest? I play on og vive an the tracking (hands/wands) is perfect. I want wireless HMD tho.. Is there a sacrifice in tracking? thanks

    It's a quest 2. I haven't looked closely but I'd say the answer is both yes and no. The sacrifice is probably not in the way you'd think. I feel like tracking errors ruining a punch or a block is totally gone relative to my somewhat common experience of it with the original Rift. The sacrifice I want expecting was that the controllers won't track behind your head so the side head guard is a little unnatural that you learn to hold for the edge of tracking. I'm not a fighter and I feel like it would be easy to change for real sparring. Really not an issue because you adapt to it really quickly and the game works with it.

    It could be my observation, but the AI doesn’t show any signs of fatigue? That takes away from the reality aspect.

    I also wanted to know does feinting in this game do anything as I never see anyone do it

  • @trivialbeingplays

    I think so. I've frequently noticed the better fighters reacting instantly just to my wind up for certain hooks and uppercuts. There's a small chance it's just a lot of coincidences, but I get the distinct feel they're reading my movement. It's the opposite of what you asked, but incidentally I just noticed ugly Joe feinting while I was boxing him yesterday.

    Have you tried going southpaw and circling right with Edward. He keeps knocking you down with rights to the body. Southpaw might be better if you can outland but not match for power.

    Thanks! You mean like keeping my arm more bent and first tighter in with my torso rotation doing more of the work? Sounds like a good thing to strive for! I have no intentions to fight, but do want to have good form.
