Fascinating, I might have found your video just in time. To summarise all faults were due to the broken wire? I’ve spent my morning chasing the exact same problem of no central locking or window control. My problem is with the rear right door. Why couldn’t yoy pull up the plunger to open the door in the first place? I can lock and unlock my door mechanically. I have checked and cleaned all connectors and I still get an error on Vida saying that there are missing messages on the LIN bus. I expected to find broken wires at the point were they bend as the doors open and close but I can’t see anything. I would never have thought that a wire internal to the door with no mechanical strain could break like this. Any ideas how? I’ve noticed that there are some sharp edges within the doors and the cables pass through the holes without grommets. I’m going to have to check all the wiring now.

I was able to pull the plunger but it wasn't unlocking the mechanism of the door lock actuator, I don't know why, which is why I could not open the door. I do believe that although all my problems were cause by the broken wire the actual door locking actuator was faulty on my door, just my luck to complicate everything. in the end yes I had to check wire by wire one by one and cannot understand how the wire broke inside, to be hones there are some sharp edges but this wire was broken where there was nothing, I can only think there was a bit of tension or it was a faulty wire from manufacture which in time it separated internally of its covering, because the cover was intact. Just very odd to be honest but there you go this is just an example of hard it can be to find some faults and a garage would need to spend hours on it and could cost to much..

@@DaringBeefcake A couple of further wiring problems I had was the harness rubbing through on the bottom of the battery box. Stopped the AC working .. cost a bit to have that sorted. The answer was on KZread so thanks for putting this information out there. Next one you have probably spotted, the zip tie should be realised within the door connectors. It’s not broken any wires yet but the plastic insulation was cracked at that point on a couple of wires. I’m told the made in Turkey wiring looms aren’t very good on the p3 models.

There is a wire in the drivers door that is probabely cut due to a tightly mounted zip tie in the door connector.

Hello you didn’t have to drill those rivets all you need is roll the window down 15cm and unscrew two bolts thrue those holes covered with rubber.
