Funny thing is, Volvos are fast too. They also have really attractive, comfortable interiors. That's why I love Volvos -- safety is paramount, but they don't slack on the other things as a compromise.

Only Volvo has stated that no one is going to die in their cars. All other car manufacturers who say that their cars are safe do not dare say so. Volvo has balls. To get out of a crashed car and still survive. That's worth all the money in the world.

My parents drive a Volvo XC90 and the sensors and safety features are really nice. We were on the freeway and there was a water truck that spilled a bunch of water all over the road. It was able to slow down and tightened the seatbelts before we even got 1000 feet from it.

Who drops a car like that.. Good job Volvo.

I LOVE my XC 90. I feel very safe in it. And I am a volunteer Fire Fighter/Rescue technician and the running joke at the station is IF I am ever in a serious accident, I will probably be OK, but they will play Hell cutting me out due to the superstructure around the passenger compartment. I have only seen THREE fatalities in an XC 90 on the internet, all three were in Europe and all three ran under a semi trailer. Two went as far as the "B" pillar and the third was hit from behind by another semi AFTER already having run under the trailer and this went as far as the "C" pillar. NO CAR IN THE WORLD COULD HAVE SAVED THEM. I stand by my Volvo.

Having served as a fireman for 30 years and attended some horrific road traffic accidents I can only applaud Volvo in their crash testing regime. It was always a problem for us as cars developed so quickly and a balance has to be made when rescuing casualties as we always used old cars for training.

Volvo is so obsessed with passenger safety. Hats off to their dedication towards it

Volvo is the best and safest car brand ever made. Good job for the people who kept safety still the priority no1 and not just the sales. În real life unfortunatly car accidents are more violent and all the time unpredictable....so the best safety measure remains driving responsably and slow. Cheers

Actually it's the other way around. The chinese will (want to) adopt volvos safety and put it into their vehicles. Check out some of the latest rating of the cars by the same group. All 5 stars

Why not buying used XC90? That’s what I did and I haven’t regret my decision.

Reminds me when a truck tried to overtake another truck, coming towards me at about 90kph. I had tenths of a second to decide whether to take the trucks head-on or dodge into the ditch. I chose the ditch. I've rolled over the length several times. Sky - wheat field - sky - wheat field, several times. There wasn’t much left of the S80, but I was fine except for a scratch on my forearm and nausea. This car definitely saved my life. Volvo for life.

There are a lot of used Volvo's out there for a reasonable price.

Volvo is a synonym of safety quality and environmental care. In other words the best family car that one could buy. I am driving an XC60 and I am so pleased. Congrats Volvo !!!

It took a second car roll just to break the windows...and by the end the cabin was perfectly intact. I'm sold on Volvo's safety.

This is why I love Volvo❤️...their dedication for pasaerger safety is very impressive

Amazing video and Volvo is a great car manufacture. These images even from below are amazin, never seen such for a car crash tests!

Someone caused me to crash in my '08 V70. Written off and I was absolutely gutted. But for a 30mph collision (I went into their side with no chance to react) I didn't even have the slightest whiplash or anything. Only felt where the seatbelt had locked and ringing in the ears from the airbags. I was so impressed that I replaced it 2 days later with an '08 V70.

That’s why I bought Volvo for my family car..

Those drop down test are scary. That kind of stuff only happen in the worst case scenario of your vehicle falling off a bridge or freeway.

Good to know that if someone picks my car up with a crane and drops it from three stories, I'll live to tell the tale.
