    dude your a life saver bro thank you so much you saved me so much time with your gasket recommendation! the stupid 5 piece exhaust mani gasket was a pain in the ass. The single gasket slid on like a glove! thanks again

    I don't think the firing order is as you explain. The owner's manual claims 1-2-4-5-3. The engine I had apart showed 1-5-2-3-4. Mystery.

    [edited: i combined my comments into one] Ok i will check again. I indeed used the 1-2-4-5-3 order Edit 1: Here is found some more on the 1-2-4-5-3 matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18523 And it from a forum mod... I will have to doublecheck Haynes later tonight... Because i trust it more than forum info. Edit 2: The internet is full of strange info: volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-850-16/cel-again-code-p0303-68310/ In the picture by Kiss4Frog the distributor is rotating the wrong way around in the pictre. Edit 3: What engine model did you have apart that show the firing order 1-5-2-3-4? Since i think we can with your video confirm the 1-2-4-5-3 for the 85x70 kzread.info/dash/bejne/mIN5qsWkdJu4kZc.html But that does not exclude the later models or diesel models from having this order?

    So which manifold you think is better from factory - the Japanifold with 850 design or the newer Japanifold from S60R?

    Do you have flow charts of the manifolds? And do you know how much more efficient your S60R manifold became by grinding?

    Sadly no flow charts. Or any measured info before and after grinding. It would be nice if this data was available. But i have newer seen any of this data for the oem exhaust manifold

    I'll soon get a Japanifold of the 2nd model (S60R) manifold and I'll port it too. I'm also going from 16T straight flange to an angled flange. I crashed my previous C70 T5 and that turbo is still on there. My set up will be: Alu intercooler and radiator, blue injectors, S60R manifold (grinded), 16T angled flange and a downpipe. I hope to push around 310-320. Right now I have a K&N panel filter, white injectors, 16T straight flange and stock downpipe with TME catback combined with a rica chip. I pushed 268BHP and 408NM on the dyno last month. :)

    Congrats for good dyno results. Do not get the blue injectors... They flow the same amount s the whites! Please check my injector video where i talk how the flow of white and blue are rated att different pressures. and flow the same at 3bar or 3.8bar. The white will max out at 320-330hp so you have what you need at this time. The 16t will be pressed to go much over 310hp... as the 19t has a choke flow at 325hp. The K&N panel filter is good. No need to change this. A gibber DP and IC is an excellent choice. I will wery soon make a video on how to grind the exhaust part of the turbo so there is a litte spoolup to be gained from that. also :)

    do you think T5 or some other turbo manifold would fit 2.4i ?

  • @Volvo5Cylinder

    @Volvo5Cylinder

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes! all 5- cylinder manifolds can be made to fit, with alot of welding and fabricating. The flange is the same. My car has a 2.4 bi-fuel head with a turbo manifold on it :) it fits the other way around just fine :D

    @@Volvo5Cylinder I have been trying to get this answer for a year. Everyone on the forums says: "You can't turbo that, it's stupid". I love my car. I don't want to buy a T5 I want to turbo my car. I have no problem buying forged internals and doing the work. I have wanted to know this for a long time. I considered flipping a V70 manifold upside down to place a turbo topside, but again it's my daily driver and I didnt want to spend money on parts that won't work. So the flange of the exhaust manifold will .ate with my 2.4i block?
