Great review Mark! The Toureg is such a great option even if on the pricey side as its the ultimate high end under the radar vehicle. I would have the diesel version all day!

Ordered and awaiting delivery of the R in Matte Grey / Black 22’ estorils. I have been BMW for years, and X5 e50 was the natural selection. But love the looks of the Touareg, and how you don’t see hardly any on the road. £83k with a few options which is a ridiculous price,but that’s the world we live in when hybrid or electric is mentioned it’s automatically 70k+ Headlights are class leading which is a shame they weren’t mentioned in this review but assume you only had it for x amount of time in the day. Can’t wait for delivery!

Mark. This is the proper SUV to have. Not quite the work horse it was but is the best towing SUV option. It is interesting how many farmers buy used VWs. Let's face it it is better than the Q7 and the Bentley Ben .. whatever... over priced, bad taste nonsense! It is a " Q" SUV. The updates have really put it at the top of the list. Not sure about those alloys! Great review.

They haven't even had a diff or low range since 2010, they aren't strong off road vehicles. They're for light off roading at best.

In U.K. a twelve month old costs £50k The V6 Diesel with Air suspension is a great luxury car..

in my country the touareg is totally worth it because the x5 for example has a starting price of 88k and the cayenne is 96k, while you can get a full option touareg r-line for 92k

I’m done with plug-in hybrids. When the electric charge runs out from that small battery, the fuel efficiency is the worst I’ve ever seen or experienced in a car. The car literally sucking petrol like a thirsty camel in the desert.😅 You’re better off with a diesel or a self-charging hybrid to be honest.

Selling the old soap dressed up while they continue to work on the new version? While I never sit in the back seat of my own car, not having heated seats in the back seems a bit of penny pinching. €115k plus extras? I must be losing track... For instance, it makes the Kia EV9 GT 4wd at €88k look like a bargain! Thanks for the review.

We're at the point now where a car that parks itself after you get out of the car is barely a footnote in the description 😢

Stunning car but the price is nuts. I’d have an X5 PHEV over this any day of the week. It’s not at the level the phaeton was. Is the light up rear VW logo optional? It’s quite tacky IMO

Maybe just me but I think those wheels look terrible, really takes away from it.

Nice video. Totally agree with your views on price and competition. Yes VW build reasonable cars, however having owned several I have found that they are not that reliable. I am driving a new Range Rover Sport, and contrary to most people comments, I am happy to say it has been faultless. For the money I would take a Range Rover or BMW X5 all day long. .

Great drone shots, Mark - bet you checked its batteries were fully charged ?!?!! Think I’d prefer this to having thick Range Rover carpets! Less likely to break down or get stolen. UK auctions loaded with Rangeys- people just getting rid of.

Great car and with such major issues with range rover and land rover in the UK with insurance and security that is bound to happen here too. This would be a great alternative

Petrol hybrid in these is the worst of both worlds, any kind of long journey will cost a fortune Just dont get it at all.

I should say that it somewhat makes sense on smaller, lighter vehicles that generally do most of their journeys over short distances, but in big tanks like this that are made for long mile crunching, it just makes no sense at all.

Absolute nonsense,it’s all down to life style, in U.K. my Wife runs BMW330E it’s 30 miles range in Electric means 95% of journeys are done in Electric, our overnight charging tariff is excellent value, we put petrol in once a month. The performance is very brisk around town and for overtaking.. on a long run to Cornwall we average 42 miles per gallon perfectly acceptable for performance if required, we had a Diesel before and 60 mpg on a run but 30 in town, and due to lots of short trips there were warranty claims due to injectors ..I ran a Jaguar I Pace that was great if journey was under 100 miles, but going to Cornwall it once took 3 hours to access a charger on Motorway, in U.K. infrastructure and cost is ridiculous..So your point in relation to us is completely invalid....

I think that is a vehicle for someone who has a family and has to go to work and sometimes wants to be a little "aggressive" after work. and at weekends, they go on long journeys

most suv is heavy the way it is and u add extra batery pack and electric motor … range on tht is just for a school run after tht u hauling all tht extra along whit u … my 2cents on it not worth it get a diesel or an electric 🤷‍♂️ ( great reviev as usual 👍 )

Had a '19 plate, the pre-facelift new shape. Least reliable car I've ever had, horrible quality for the price. X5 PHEV over this all day long.

Gorgeous looking car....bar those real ugly wheels!... and as for that red VW badge that looks like it's straight out of the Halfords sale catalogue 😵‍💫 As for the review... quality as usual!

Wouldn't touch a VW with a barge pole ... guarantee d to be very unreliable... I'll stick to rx Lexus'...
