Do you recommend replacing only the Timing BELT instead of the whole kit @ 80K Kms on a Vw Vento Diesel? And also replace Water Pump only if the old one is almost rusted instead of mandatory replacement as recommended by VW @ 80K km?

Replaced the waterpump along with timing kit .. In some scence customer won't give approval for whole kit

My Skoda 1.6Petrol is eating coolant but at very slow rate. like 6 months me min level par aa gaya h. abhi 130,000 kms ho gaye h. bumper to bumper traffic me ac bhi trip ho jata h, or ek dafa high speed driving par heat warning b aa gaya. Kuch remedy batao.

Hi Arundev bro is it must to replace water pump with timing belt in Volkswagen vento tdi even if pump is in perfect condition? My mechanic said u should replace complete timing belt kit and waterpump together it's must in Volkswagen tdi's.

Sorry im quite late to see your question but still answering in case it may help you in future in someway. The answer is no its not required and the bearings don't go bad that easy as the build quality is very good. On contrary same bearings are used in Audi too so if any of those bearings are broken ask him to unmount it and show it to u... 👍
