With 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 18.7 seconds, a maximum top speed of 92 mph (148 km/h), a curb weight of 2006 lbs (910 kgs), the Golf 2 Diesel has a naturally-aspirated - 4 cylinder engine, Diesel motor.
This engine produces a maximum power of 54 PS (53 bhp - 40 kW) at 4800 rpm and a maximum torque of 100 Nm (73 lb.ft) at 2300 rpm. The power is transmitted to the road by the front wheel drive (FWD) with a 4 speed Manual gearbox.

My mom had this car until I was 6 years old. That thing was a beast. Reliable and almost indestructible. I remember bailing my eyes out when we had to give it away for another car. Things weren't the same after that lol
Exactly the same that the Golf I had even the color. But mine was the GTI 16V. A really good car with no breakdowns....very good video!!!!

I drove many cars. From 3.0tdi A6, to 2.5tdi superb, all cars had full luxury Interieur‘s, power, comfort. But, before all those modern cars, i drove a mk2 1.6td 69hp. I‘ve always missed that car, and one day i was like, fuck of!. So i sold the A6 and even the superb, and buyed a mk2 with the 1.6 Td. It was the best choice in my life!. Little Golfo has 370.000km on the clock, but it‘s perfectly clean. Engine runs/ works like a tank!👍😂. I‘m a Diesel Guy, but even in 2023 the mk2 is not out of time. Really low consumption, it can do all the things a mk8 can do(ok, it‘s not running 200+km/h), but it‘s stil a perfect car. Those old Volkswagen are the best. Mk1-Mk3. Good cars, easy to repair!. And Beautiful cars. My Golf runs on 16“ BBS, looks perfect.

1984 les rétroviseurs Golf 2 étaient en arrière avec custode. calandre 2 phares. Sans parler du volant.
It's probably 1987 or later, because the mirrors are in the front corner of the window.

It's actually a pre fl model, so could be from 1984. According to the back panel with "Volkswagen" sign in the side instead of big VW logo in the center. The doors are surely replaced with the "full glass" ones.
